Toronto to Terni: June 2012
http://torontototerni.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 25, 2012. So last week, we finally decided to splurge and install an air conditioner. While Emanuele's Mediterranean blood is used to this dreadful heat, my cold-ass Canadian blood isn't. Relationships are all about compromise, right? Obviously, living here, nothing is instant so we have to wait another week before we can have the beloved installed.so in the meantime, I'm making some summer adjustments. My manual air conditioning. Last night, I also had the pleasure of heading up to Prati.

Toronto to Terni: Tiramisu!
http://torontototerni.blogspot.com/2011/07/tiramisu.html
Thursday, July 7, 2011. Ok so my first recipe post. Here goes. I suck at baking. Period. Maybe it has something to do with me really disliking carefully measuring ingredients. That requires too much patience, something that I need to learn in the kitchen. But until then, I'm a total fan of NO BAKE desserts. And hello, what better no bake dessert than Tiramisu? Sorry, I didn't realize lady fingers could be "gross". He said mamma only uses something called Pavesini. If this is your first attempt at Tiramis...

Toronto to Terni: July 2012
http://torontototerni.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 28, 2012. Yeah right, I wish. But it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the menu, checklist styles and all. Last weekend we drove to Strettura to check out the sagra of "bruschetta al tartufo". Living here makes it really difficult to have any kind of "portion control", I'm beginning to feel concerned about my eating habits. Fagioli and frittata both cooked with tartufo. Counting down to my visit home. 2 more weeks.can't wait. Sunday, July 1, 2012. Okay, I guess receiving a fedina.

View from the beach up to the streets, can you see our hotel?

Toronto to Terni: This....
http://torontototerni.blogspot.com/2012/10/this.html
Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This is my first blog, in fact this is my first attempt at posting anything about myself online. No, I dont have Facebook! I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. I will be moving to Italy in August 2011. I decided to write about my experience so that my friends and family can follow me during this journey. I also hope that this blog will inspire at least one other person out there, just as a few blogs have done for me. An American in Rome.

Toronto to Terni: May 2012
http://torontototerni.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 31, 2012. I'm finally ready to write about my recent negative experience here. I haven't really written about these types of things so far because well, mostly I'm too lazy and honestly, it requires quite a bit of energy to complain about stuff. But now, I'm finally compelled to share the shi*tty feelings I've been having because.it's honest. My broken Italian and stupid sense of pride told me so. Incase you are wondering, I actually asked in Italian, "Is this a contract? I was born and rai...

Toronto to Terni: January 2013
http://torontototerni.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2013. Here comes the."bride"? So, I'm not a typical bride. How so? Don't get me wrong. I'm so excited to marry the best guy I've ever known. I'm excited to start our lives as husband and wife and I really do respect and appreciate the meaning of marriage. I just don't like all the fluffy stuff around weddings. All I care about is celebrating our big day with the people we love. Some of the advantages about doing it here? 13th century church in a small village in the mountains nearby.

Toronto to Terni: March 2013
http://torontototerni.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Yup, I just quoted the Biebs. The kid had a point though. I'm now officially one step away from getting my full driver's license. Last month I passed my long-awaited theory exam and now have my own "foglio rosa" (pink paper). This allows me to legally drive in the country when accompanied by another driver in the same car. This deserved a special post since it was one of my original list of goals. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. I will be...

Toronto to Terni: Down time.
http://torontototerni.blogspot.com/2012/12/down-time.html
Thursday, December 27, 2012. With the holiday season here and all, I FINALLY found some down time to update this thing! It's been a whole 2 months since I've posted anything. Yes, I've been busy, but honestly I haven't really had anything super eventful or interesting to write about lately. The majority of my time has been dedicated to working and studying for my driving theory exam (which I hope to do in February). Sharing some fun western Christmas gift games with my Ternano people. I love game nights.

Toronto to Terni: Driving in Italy
http://torontototerni.blogspot.com/2013/01/driving-in-italy.html
Sunday, January 27, 2013. Unfortunately, this is a reoccurring thing here. Then you have the a* holes who park so close to your car that you can't get in the driver's side. I've had to climb through the passenger's side numerous times. Or the drivers who never bother to look both ways before racing out of a side street. And one of my favs, the cars who park parallel to parked cards in an actual DRIVING lane to pop into a shop to do their errands. January 28, 2013 at 4:05 PM. January 30, 2013 at 1:04 PM.
