Sara and Jeri: Blondes Down Under. Monday, March 23, 2009. The Australia Rain forest (Daintree) was filled with frogs and CROCS (and perhaps some other stuff, but we mostly saw frogs and er crocs! Just about a month ago a Croc (13 foot long) ate a 5 year old boy along the shore of the river we floated down (we were in a boat). they killed the croc and found the remains inside. Very sad. It was by far the scariest thing we have ever done, and to quote Jeri, "it was 10-times scarier than walking down the aisle! Wednesday, June 17, 2009. I spent last Saturday afternoon here. Picking dandelions. Our ward was having a service project helping out the park services pick weeds. The weeds turned out to be yellow dandelions covering a HUGE grass area at Chrissy Fields. Turns out they are an invasive species. Who knew? On Friday night, two of my favorite people were in town. After a delicious Italian meal at Tomatino's, we broke out the games, and had quite an enjoyable evening. I love these girls!

Tuesday, August 17, 2010. A couple weekends ago I completed my first half marathon. Just a few months ago I never would have been able to picture myself being able to run 13.1 miles. I could hardly even run a mile. But I did it! It was a really amazing experience. I loved running though the streets of San Francisco in the overcast, cool weather with thousands of other runners. Although I could hardly walk for the two days after the race, I'm already looking forward to running it again next year!

Friday, April 16, 2010. This gem of a bakery. Last weekend in Yountville (Napa Valley). Owned by the same chef as French Laundry. Thomas Keller is a genius. Chocolate macarons and TKO cookies were to die for. I've started playing Words with Friends (scrabble type game) on my ipod touch. Highly addicting. I've also discovered Pandora online radio.
