Sunday, December 23, 2007. I just thought I'd also mention a few of the latest things that I've been working on, since it may be awhile before I have any new updates. Aside from all of the coding, I've been experimenting with creating some interesting terrain for the game. There's no reason everything needs to be flat and straight, and hopefully there will eventually be some interesting environments to explore. And of course all of the coding continues. I'm not referring to the construction of this mod, but rather to the response that it receives. Sunday, July 27, 2008. I've managed to accomplish something today that I thought was once impossible. I'm no longer limited to only using models from Lithtech 1.0, but I can now import models into Blood 2 from any Monolith game! It's a bit of a complicated procedure, but it does work. So I went and modified one of the levels that I built last year because I felt it just didn't work very well, and I wanted to try to make it more fun. Monday, June 30, 2008. I've been spending a lot of time on all of these lights in the levels lately, because I felt that some improvements could be made in the overall appearance of these levels. Through a lot of trial and error and some great advice at the Postmortem forums, I've begun to realize that lighting a level is a real art. Choosing the right colors, and brightness and then positioning them in such a way so that shadows fall where you want them to, is a definite skill. Posted by kurt at 2:23 PM.
