Bloomingsoft Blog — Droplist 2.0 almost done
http://blog.bloomingsoft.com/2011/06/droplist-2-0-almost-done
Mobile design, development. And the business thereof. Droplist 2.0 almost done. June 18, 2011. Here’s the iPhone version. iPad also looks great. I’m still making tweaks, but everything described in the previous post will be in the next version. I’m particularly proud of the new syncing, which does everything behind-the-scenes and uses a “DiffsMatchPatch” engine to accurately put stuff together. It’s leaps and bounds ahead of the old engine. Bloomingsoft Blog — Droplist Feature Additions
http://blog.bloomingsoft.com/2011/03/droplist-feature-additions
Mobile design, development. And the business thereof. March 25, 2011. I’ve been receiving a TON of requests for feature additions. Every single one is a good idea, and I’d like to add them all. Features that get requested more will move higher up the priority list, so please keep ’em comin’! Anyway, here’s the short list of ‘yes this will be in the update’:. This will be a universal update – so you’ll get it for free if you already downloaded the iPhone/iPod Touch version. Sort sub-tasks with parent tasks.

Mobile design, development. And the business thereof. DropList (formerly MagicList) Sneak Peak. March 8, 2011. Droplist was sent to Dropbox for approval yesterday, and approved today 🙂 It will be submitted to the Appstore tomorrow after smoke testing. Changes from the previous beta:. Tap-and-hold to edit a list items. Testers were becoming confused/frustrated with double-tap as it momentarily checked a list item. Tap-and-hold also feels like a more natural gesture, and leaves no room for confusion.

Mobile design, development. And the business thereof. December 17, 2011. So, Bloomingsoft, or namely I, have been very busy over the past six months. I’ve wanted to write a proper post about all of the developments but I’ll try to summarize here the best I can:. DrivingBuddy, my first app, has been acquired. No details about this at the moment except that Bloomingsoft sold it to someone with similar project goals. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Laquo; Home page.

Bloomingsoft Blog — What to expect from the iPad universal update to Droplist
http://blog.bloomingsoft.com/2011/04/what-to-expect-from-the-ipad-universal-update
Mobile design, development. And the business thereof. What to expect from the iPad universal update to Droplist. April 12, 2011. The iPad update should be arriving this week and I couldn’t be more excited. For those who already purchased the app, the upgrade is free 🙂. If turned to Portrait mode, the list becomes elongated and is perfect for use while moving. I feel that in this way, landscape mode is more for entry, and portrait is more for checking off items. Managing Nerds – Rands in Repose
http://randsinrepose.com/archives/2011/01/17/managing_nerds.html
They're not bitter - they're informed. Ten years ago, the world was collectively freaked out by the Y2K bug. The idea was that when innumerable software-driven clocks flipped at midnight from 1999 to 2000 that the digital shit was going to hit the fan. I blame the origin of the world-wide freak-out on the nerds. We’ve been shocked how often a demo has become a product. We know that it is an inherent property of complex systems that they will contain both our best work and our worst guesses. This is inten...
