Sunday, November 16, 2008. November 11th was my Birthday and the day before on Monday I got the most wonderful box in the mail from Donna my friend who lives in Az. She told me that when the box came I was to call her on the phone, it would be like she was here with me while I opened it. Lol I finally got everything undone and wow, wow wait until you see what Donna made for me! I absolutely love it and couldn't take me eyes off of it. Isn't it just beautiful and so darling! I really love this tray!

How to make a Coffee Can Footstool. Wednesday, February 4, 2009. How to make a Coffee Can Footstool. First you need 14 coffee cans and some duct tape. Tape the cans together. Tape the top and bottom first and then the sides. Now tape the two stacks of cans together. You can use cardboard but for the top I used an old rotary mat. If I could do it over I would make sure it was cut more to fit the edge of the cans but the mat was hard to cut so I was sloppy. Hot glue batting all the way around. Now hot glue...

It was such a joy to work on this block and I did some of my favorite motifs and seam treatments. I cannot make a block without roses - that's just a given. I've added a tiny Swarovski butterfly necklace on the lower right side of the block. The French knot roses and have made these out of 4mm silk ribbon. The fly stitch fans are made with Kreinik fine braid.
