Be Green and Flow. Friday, May 31, 2013. A Year of Craft Beer, Vol. 127, Troegs Hopback Amber Ale. Amidst Philly Beer Week, here I am at home reviewing local beers! Tonight is the next installment to Troegs Week with Hopback Amber Ale which is considered an American Ale. These ales for the most part can have any range of ingredients like toasted malts and hops in varying colours of amber and some are even oktoberfest-like but in ale form. Balance is the name of the game with this beer! It's a pretty refr...

Be Green and Flow. Thursday, January 31, 2013. A Year of Craft Beer, Vol. 31, Dark Horse Brewing Co. One Oatmeal Stout. Now that is One Oatmeal Stout for sure! This is also a pretty good choice made by Scoats for his 24 beers of Christmas Case. Thanks for all the hard work on that by the way dude! I served it at a perfect 55 degrees. I had it in the fridge for about 15 to 20 minutes tops. The beer smells just as good! Carbonation is perfect with this beer. Maybe a little high? I like this beer a lot, but...

Be Green & Flow: Patching a hole in the hull of a Catalina 22 Sailboat named TARDIS
http://begreenandflow.blogspot.com/2013/06/patching-hole-in-hull-of-catalina-22.html
Be Green and Flow. Sunday, June 23, 2013. Patching a hole in the hull of a Catalina 22 Sailboat named TARDIS. I'm posting a project for you! I will document that later perhaps. But tonight I want to talk about patching a hole in the hull forward of the keel box in which the keel retracts and pivots in. Just forward of the box there is a noticeable hole and crack. Here you can the edges of the bubble with the dental tool in between the layers of glass. For me. Notice the right side of the patch. A Year of...

Be Green & Flow: A Year of Craft Beer, Vol. 139, Susquehanna Brewing Company 6th generation Stock Ale
http://begreenandflow.blogspot.com/2013/06/a-year-of-craft-beer-vol-139.html
Be Green and Flow. Monday, June 24, 2013. A Year of Craft Beer, Vol. 139, Susquehanna Brewing Company 6th generation Stock Ale. This beer has been around for 6 generations and is reportedly the same as it was way back when which is most likely English in some characteristics. The beer pours a beautiful rich and clear amber colour with a faint head and very little lacing until agitated and then it fades again. The taste is equally as nice! The carbonation is moderate. This is a nice beer! A Year of Craft ...

Be Green and Flow. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. A Year of Craft Beer, Vol. 140, Lancaster Brewing Pale Ale. Tonight I want to discuss another American Pale Ale from Lancaster Brewing named Lancaster Pale Ale. An American Pale Ale, if I haven't beaten this style to death, is the American take on the English IPA but Americanized and Texas sized! Usually big hopped with American grown hops and American ingredients. Let's see how this one stacks up! Hey, this was a gift. If a friend gives you a gift of a new ...

I got fiberglass in my arms. I can feel it as I type on the laptop. No worries, I have a Sammy Adams Cherry Wheat Ale. I was never one for fruity beers, but this one is a WIN! Reminds me of Frank's Black Cherry Wishniak! So the canoe is totally ready for the boat show! The surfboard is rough sanded and the fin is on!

Be Green and Flow. Saturday, December 29, 2012. Happy New Year in Craft Beer! Well, it's time for me to put pen to paper again! But no income has flown my way in the last 3 years and I have to ask myself if it's worth any more investment to try and make it a successful business. I do know that I want to make brewing professionally my focus. I just love it too much! Http:/ capegazette.villagesoup.com/p/dogfish-doppelganger-drives-new-beer-series/940664. http://begreenandflow.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Be Green and Flow. Tuesday, April 23, 2013. A Year of Craft Beer, Celiacs killed Yards Week. OK, I tried it out, it is still not carbonated enough so I am going to carbonate it more before I review it. It is better than before, but it is over the top on a few key ingredients like ginger and coriander. It's nice though. More later! Have a great night everyone. Look for a review on the gluten free one tomorrow as I expect that I won't be drinking real beer for a couple of days. Links to this post. Mouthfee...
