iSew Blog: June 2013
http://isewblog.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
June 24, 2013. This is what I've had floating around in my head the last few months (yes, I said months. I wanted to make a weekly calendar to help Mimi understand the days of the week as well as help her know what's happening each day, and this is how it turned out. I wanted each day to be a different color, so I chose 7 colors of flannel for each day's background. I had these in my stash, I guess that sort of tells you how much sewing I do (and how much fabric I have). I sewed some pieces of rick-rack ...

iSew Blog: January 2011

January 11, 2011. Back in the Swing. I feel really bad that I'm blogging so infrequently, but you know how it is with a new baby in the house. I just thought I'd drop in and give you an update on how things are going around here. Amelia is now 3 months old, if you can believe that! At my baby group they're always saying how hard the first 3 months are.if you can just get through the first 3 months, things will be easier. But it's coming along slowly, haha. I've started to slowly restock my Etsy shop.

May 29, 2014. I just realized I haven't posted since last June. June! That's like a whole year ago. ugh. I've definitely been getting those thoughts again. Those, "I should blog about that", thoughts. Really. And being a Mom. She's 3 1/2! What I really need is some human contact. So if anyone is still out there I'm going to try really hard to write some posts so I can just know you're there. :). Hey, it's a craft! At 5/29/2014 09:29:00 PM. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). iSew Blog: July 2014

July 15, 2014. Springtime Top from Little One-Yard Wonders. I picked this book. Up not too long ago and decided that I'd actually make something from it! That's a rarity for me. I love pattern books, I never use them (except maybe the knitting ones). I went for the "Springtime Top" because I already had some fabric that was perfect and hadn't been allocated yet. It's a cute top, perfect for summer or as a jumper with a shirt. So, I made another one. Again, no purchase necessary. I made the second one in ...

I had to share some exciting news with you anyway.duh duh duh daaaah. I finally got the new pattern tested and into my shop. April 10, 2011. Did I Say Once a Month. Okay, maybe I'll blog every other month. Seriously though, I don't have a whole lot to say. I've been working on a few projects. These are called Monkey Socks. And I got the free pattern on Knitty. I've always wanted to make these, unfortunately they're a little big on me. I'm about 8 rows from finishing them at this point, obviously I haven't taken a new picture. And Miss Amelia has now passed her 6 month birthday. Time is just flying by! At 4/10/2011 01:41:00 PM.

May 29, 2012. Handmade Toys or How I Entertain a Toddler. As I look around my house, which is now pretty much overrun with kid gear, I notice a few things made by me. I thought it might be nice to share a few (and also let you know some things that have been popular around here). Exhibit 1: The Tag Blanket. Exhibit 2: Jar of Crocheted Gumballs. I whipped this up one day while Amelia was napping. She has a really cool play kitchen. No really, she likes it. Exhibit 4: Crocheted Cherry Pie. Amelia has a ver...

February 07, 2011. Maybe if I set myself a nice attainable goal I can achieve it? One post a month? Well, it's busy, busy, busy around here. Amelia is 4 months old now, wow! She's getting more and more fun every day, rolling over, laughing, playing with toys good stuff. We have a very active social calendar, which really helps me get through the days. I'm meeting lots of mommies near me and that's been really great too. I've baked a few things recently.the Star Wars cookies were yummy. Check out my shop.
