Pond Chronicles: Wet Photography!
http://thepondchronicles.blogspot.com/2010/06/wet-photography.html
The Life and Times of a Pond in Virginia. Wednesday, June 2, 2010. We're entering the dog days of summer, as far as the pond garden is concerned. With the end of the Iris season, comes long hot days, too much shade, and the garden begins to turn into a jungle. We are still waiting for the commencement of Daylily blooms, which should occur soon. However, I have been occupying my time (along with watering the bog) by attacking the pond and garden with my camera. Here are a few shots you might enjoy! 3 Gene...

Pond Chronicles: April 2010
http://thepondchronicles.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
The Life and Times of a Pond in Virginia. Wednesday, April 21, 2010. The Glory of Spring. Oh, the glory! Spring brings the best time for our pond garden. The Phlox is in all it's splendor. The Ajuga is blooming as well- too bad the blight decimated a large portion of the Ajuga bed (left side of photo above). The Yellow Flag Irises in the water are doing their best, despite that they need re-potting yet again! Our Japanese Maple is seeing happy days! One of my faves: Pitcher Plants in the bog! Sadly, ever...

Pond Chronicles: Taking Stock, Getting Ready to Say Goodbye
http://thepondchronicles.blogspot.com/2010/05/taking-stock-getting-ready-to-say.html
The Life and Times of a Pond in Virginia. Friday, May 21, 2010. Taking Stock, Getting Ready to Say Goodbye. So I say good bye to these perennial pals: the purple Iris above. The Yellow Flag Iris. The plant which I only remember it's cultivar name: Alba. My one Peony boom, although she is just beginning to open, and there is one more on the way. But the pond itself remains always, supporting my Koi, Comets, and Shubumkins. The fish, the fish- it was always about the fish anyway. May 23, 2010 at 9:31 AM.

Pond Chronicles: Dog Days
http://thepondchronicles.blogspot.com/2010/07/dog-days.html
The Life and Times of a Pond in Virginia. Saturday, July 10, 2010. Well, we're officially in them- the dog days of summer! And this summer it's especially doggy, with these 100 degree temps for a week or more and no rain! Even though I haven't posted in a while, I have been taking pictures all along. So here are some of them, with a wide shot the pond this morning. We finally got a big rain- so thankful! But now plants are flattened in addition to being leggy and brown! Pond Chronicles: Morning in the Garden of Good and Evil
http://thepondchronicles.blogspot.com/2011/02/morning-in-garden-of-good-and-evil.html
The Life and Times of a Pond in Virginia. Monday, February 21, 2011. Morning in the Garden of Good and Evil. I will start my story by telling you about a loud bang that brought me out of a deep sleep this morning. As it only partially woke me up I went back to sleep, but only to be disturbed by another loud bang a few minutes later. As I lay there coming to, I started thinking.what were. So just because it is possible that someone could. But as I entered the kitchen, out the window was a sight to see!
