Saturday, January 28, 2012. This whole experience has been pretty amazing! Ever since I was 18, I have been an organ donor and never really thought about being a living donor. I just assumed that my organs would be used after I passed on. It's been amazing being a part of something like this to see how I have been able to donate a kidney. I believe everyone should consider being an organ donor; it truly is the greatest gift to give! I am techinically "off" from work for one more week. Not quite sure ...

Friday, July 13, 2012. LOL The weekend of June 29/30 we had a pretty powerful storm (called a Dereco) sweep through the area and wreck havoc. Mother Nature sure is pissed off at us! Unfortunately, based on what has been circulating in the news and what we have seen across the country, 2012 is turning out to the warmest year on record! John and Stacey Broughton. Saturday, June 30, 2012. The island is located 18 miles off the coast of VA. I was absolutely in awe of the bay. When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner of the B&B and were taken to the B&B via a golf cart. The island is only 2 miles long and 1/2 mile wide. No one has a car and the mode of transportation is either a bike or golf cart. It was so cool! We definitely recommend at least going out to visit Tangier Island. OUR BEAUTIFUL KIDS! Thursday, June 7, 2012. End of School Year Awards. We could not be MORE PROUD today. Jack and Caroline had their last third grade awards today and they did stellar these last 9 weeks! Tuesday, March 13, 2012. The family has found a new hobby and it's called Geocaching. It has been around for a while, both Stacey and I have heard of it, but never really understood what it was all about and what the craze was. Know we know! We are heading up to Vermont in a few weeks for our Spring Break and we told the kids that we will Geocache along the way and make at least one stop in each state we drive through. We are definitely hooked on this! Broughton-Wheeler Kids at our first find of the day!

Saturday, October 29, 2011. Look at these beautiful faces! This year's school pictures. Hard to believe these little faces we once held in our arms are growing up as quickly as they are. It's hard to imagine that we have 2 third graders and the little one in PreK. The first 9 weeks of school are coming to a close and the kids are doing very well. But this year we decided to go with the traditional oldschool costumes. I will post pictures next week of our costumes. Can't wait! John and Stacey Broughton.
