All in an Arizona Sunset. Monday, April 30, 2012. This kids had a blast running around the child's play area. This is a version of the groundhog pounding game I'm sure, as Cami is about to smack Dada on the head. Camryn is such a good runner! To live in pure joy. Mason was supposed to jump with Cami to help her, but he failed. She jumped 75% of her height by herself, no problems. Mason jumped after her. There is nothing more beautiful than her. Period. All in an Arizona Sunset. Sunday, November 4, 2012. As promised, here are more pictures of the Yellowstone Bison. Maybe it's because they are so rare, or because they are half tame in the park, but they are extraordinary creatures. This one was just walking along the side of the road when he decided to lay down and take a dust bath. Who knew bison could swim? All in an Arizona Sunset. Thursday, February 9, 2012. January 29 Erika ran a 4-mile race at Old Tucson Studios, ran her best ever with a pace of about 8:10 minute miles. We then were able spend the day in Old Tucson where we rode the train, watched a gun show,rode the carousel, and rode the train two more times. Not the train we rode. "The most photographed train in history.". Lovin' the train ride! Mason liked the kids' fun run. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. I don't know why Mason won't smile when asked.

All in an Arizona Sunset. Saturday, October 20, 2012. We went to the reptile show like we do every year. One of the favorite features is always the petting zoo. It was very crowded, but the kids did get to pet a monitor lizard and a tortoise. New this year was a fossil dig, sponsored by the owners of the prior T-Rex museum (closed). All in an Arizona Sunset. Wednesday, September 14, 2011. This weekend Erika and Kevin backpacked 10 miles to the campground at Havasupai, camped for two nights, and hiked back to civilization. It was spectacular! Many people choose to use the mule "trains" to haul their stuff down. Wusses. 10:15 - Erika and Kevin started down the trail from the Hilltop to Supai (8 mi). All in an Arizona Sunset. Friday, November 2, 2012. The following week we made pumpkin donuts. For some reason I was motivated to use the donut maker again (we do so rarely), and the concept sounded too cute. The kids really like helping to bake. And of course I taught them to lick the beaters, that's the best part! These donuts were delicious! Gotta eat that candy right away. And Woody obviously thinks she will drop something for him. All in an Arizona Sunset. Sunday, September 23, 2012. A ground squirrel, just chillin' by the side of the trail. The wildlife was amazing, different from other places we've lived. Below are samples, only what I could get a picture of. Also seen but not pictured is an American Pine Marten (or some other weasel-looking mammal), Osprey (barely seen), deer, and some other birds. Sadly no moose, black bears or eagles. Magpies invading our picnic site. Yellow-bellied marmot on our hike to the Natural Bridge.
