pseudowife: December 2008
http://pseudowife.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Marking time in an empty nest. Friday, 5 December 2008. This afternoon I lost it. I screamed. I swore. I threw things. I slammed doors. I screamed some more. Then I cried. And cried. And cried. My husband came home to a mess. Poor bastard. Tomorrow I will have to face her. But she still won't get it. She thinks it is about her. Tuesday, 2 December 2008. It was a paradise of getting dirty, tearing my clothes and skinning my knees. I was an expert in all three. And Mum started pruning. She just doesn't get...

pseudowife: November 2007
http://pseudowife.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Marking time in an empty nest. Thursday, 29 November 2007. Most of the people I know have a stand way of greeting others. My husband says "hi dee hi" and my son says "what's going on? I have a pommie mate that always says "alright? Others say "G'day" or "hello" or how's it going? There's "how y'going" and "what's up" and "morning". I have an elderly acquaintance that greets everyone with "who's this here, then? And my best friend always just says the person's name. That is, for most of the year. Came dow...

Adventures of Ole & Lena: 13 April 2008
http://thelifetimesofolelena.blogspot.com/2008_04_13_archive.html
Tuesday, April 15, 2008. May I present the YaYa's. And heeeerrrreee's the YaYa's! Sounding like Johnny Carson). L to R: Barb, Carol, me, and Chris. Now, none of us look like we're - - - - oh, never mind - I'm not going to tell you how old we don't look! Barb, on the left, was/is a twin. Her sister died from a type of thyroid cancer about ten years ago. Donna, the missing YaYa, is also a twin, whose sister also died almost 20 years ago now, from a form of skin cancer. How sad. See, that way I can come to ...

Adventures of Ole & Lena: 27 April 2008

Friday, May 2, 2008. Meet Medora. She's a 4-footed stinker, but cute as a bug. Well, this set off Hercules, who is an adult neutered male, who definitely didn't want all the neighborhood Toms invading his property, so he set off marking his territory. All over the inside of Lovely Daughter's house - which caused Hercules to become an outside cat very quickly. I had made sure that all the little flippy dog and cat doors were locked so Medora couldn't get out. And that concluded Medora's Great Adventure.

pseudowife: January 2008
http://pseudowife.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Marking time in an empty nest. Thursday, 31 January 2008. Due to a total lack of inspiration I shall bore you all with the meme that everyone seems to be doing (and looks like fun). Google the answers and post the first images that come up. What was your first car? The first thing I drove. a fergie. The first I owned. a Monaro. Where did you grow up? Where do you live now? That would be telling but I googled the name and came up with . What is your real name? What was your grandmother's name? What do you...

Adventures of Ole & Lena: 27 July 2008
http://thelifetimesofolelena.blogspot.com/2008_07_27_archive.html
Sunday, July 27, 2008. Guilty until proven innocent? I’ve thought long and hard about this entry and have gone from “yes, post it,” to “no, it won’t make any difference anyway” numerous times. So in an effort to clear some of the air here I decided to do this. Also, last time I checked, this was the United States, a place where you’re supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. She followed with a post that her heart had been broken: ( http:/ poolagirl.diaryland.com/grandheart.html. Reading comments lik...

Tuesday, April 8, 2008. The Morning After the Night Before. Dick hung around for a while and was having fun, but kept looking at his watch as though he didn’t dare stay too long. I’m sure if he had he would have hell to pay when he got home. Well, Ole wakes up one morning and remembers that it is Lena's birthday. Now Ole and Lena have been married for over fifty years so Ole goes shopping and tries to find a gift for her. He can not think of a single thing she needs. She thinks for a moment and then deci...

Adventures of Ole & Lena: There's a Mole in our Midst
http://thelifetimesofolelena.blogspot.com/2008/07/theres-mole-in-our-midst.html
Saturday, July 26, 2008. There's a Mole in our Midst. After much discussion with Ole, I’ve decided I won’t be attending the Great Javalina Hunt in October. The major reason is because of Ole’s health and the strong possibility that he may be having surgery on his leg in October. But there is one other reason for my not attending, and I might as well just put it out there for ya’ll to know because I'm VERY disappointed. And that’s all I’m going to say about that. July 26, 2008 at 12:20 PM. I'm not sure wh...

Saturday, July 5, 2008. Bing, Bang, Boom and Splat. I didn't miss the 4th of July - I just didn't have time to post - life was just a bit busy yesterday. I trust that you all had an enjoyable day and didn't lose any fingers or toes blowing up fireworks. Now isn't this just the epitome of an old fashioned Independence Day celebration. I wonder if anybody has frog jumping contests anymore? One of our little local towns has turtle races, but no frog jumping contests. Cousin Jean and me. Links to this post.
