http://mollymade.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 26, 2011. A match made in Heaven. My cabaret at the Anaheim White House. Was this past Friday! It was a totally blast. I'm so happy to say I found a way to combine my love of PERFORMING and my love of CROCHETING. Check out this video to see how I Crocheted a Molly Made Dahlia. While singing Twisted. I was so lucky to have such a great band lead by the amazing Dan Barrett. We did a little Sondheim ditty, "Everybody Says Don't.". Posted by Molly Made. Links to this post. Follow me on Twitter.

Still a Brooklyn Kid. Sunday, 26 April 2015. Movies now and then. It’s official. After viewing each film at least twice, the Little One, now six years three months old (and a more lovable film critic you’ll never meet) has announced her Top Ten movie list. Has her third-favorite princess who is special because “she has really long hair and a cute chameleon.” The L.O. vividly describes the spectacular lanterns launched to commemorate the princess’ birthday. (Must remember...The LO. and I agree that th...

Still a Brooklyn Kid: February 2013
http://stillabrooklynkid.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Still a Brooklyn Kid. Sunday, 10 February 2013. Got a penny, Benny? The Canadian government has eliminated the penny. From now on, all prices will be rounded up or down to the nearest nickel. Since it costs 1.6 cents to manufacture each penny, this sounds like an eminently sensible step to take. I wonder what you benighted, penny-laden souls south of the border - you with the holes in your pockets - think of this development. A nickel for your thoughts. Still a Brooklyn Kid. Thursday, 7 February 2013.

Still a Brooklyn Kid: July 2012
http://stillabrooklynkid.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Still a Brooklyn Kid. Saturday, 21 July 2012. Tomorrow we're off to visit Mom to help celebrate her one-hundred-and-first-and-a-half birthday. Still fresh are the memories of her one-hundredth birthday party. The "surprise at 3:00" mentioned on the invitation was a concert by Rebecca Kilgore, Dan Barrett (with trombone), and Dave Frishberg. That day's musical highlights are indelible in our memory. Becky sang Mom's request. Wise words to live by). Dan played a slyly humorous, slow-tempo. How hip is that?

Still a Brooklyn Kid: June 2012
http://stillabrooklynkid.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Still a Brooklyn Kid. Wednesday, 27 June 2012. This one's dedicated to Brooklyn Girl, Brooklyn Baby (who loved this record when she was little), Miriam, Tina, Legrand Sidney Doggett, and the acai berry. The Revelers' skillful close-harmony singing and the arrangement may be as dated as a 1926 Victrola, but the sentiment expressed is as genuine today as ever. Still a Brooklyn Kid. Friday, 22 June 2012. When the glorious mezzo-soprano Janet Baker and conductor John Barbirolli recorded. That music seeks and...

Still a Brooklyn Kid: "Pound plenty"
http://stillabrooklynkid.blogspot.com/2015/05/pound-plenty_11.html
Still a Brooklyn Kid. Monday, 11 May 2015. This is a re-write of an earlier entry, posted here because it demands an answer to an important question, one that can only be provided by the learned scholar Legrand Sidney Doggett. Yes, I’m talking to you, Mr. Doggett: What is the order of trumpet soloists on Sugar Foot Stomp on the 1957 album “The Great Reunion”? Only you have the know-how and resources to provide the definitive answer. Derived from King Oliver's. As Henderson tells it in the oral history.
