Taking place during Independent Bookshop Week, this year’s festival (June 19-28) is typically rammed with events, taking place in the village and beyond. Born in 1956 in the East Anglian Fens in England he moved to Nottingham to study for his business degree. In line with the current myth of the time he met, courted and married a local girl and they have now been married for over 36 years. They still live within 10 miles of Nottingham and have two adult children no longer living at home. Their daughter made them proud grandparents in 2009, again in 2011 and for a third time at the beginning of 2014. Five years on, and Bluewood Publishing.
