Monday, September 12, 2011. My summer mantel always includes green, produce things, birds and garden books. Everything that speaks summer to me. I light candles all year but on this mantel they must smell like a garden, not to sweet but like the smell after a gentle rain. Green is cooling to me. This is my guardian.

Friday, December 31, 2010. I have been in hiding. The dogs all got snuggies for Christmas, as usual Spike was excited. Not so sure about the others. Spikes favorite gift "The Cave" he just dove in. Jason is into hunting this year, thank you B.C. now he is away every weekend. Christine loves EVERYTHING Jason gives her. Are black puffy coats in style? And I am sick. Thursday, March 8, 2012. Oh, My, it's going to be 70 degrees today and my head is outside. Dreaming of the day when I can. Work in my herb garden. Put out my wind chimes and re-pot the lemon tree. Plan a luncheon for friends. Sit and dream, be a bit lazy. Listen to the gentle sound of the water. Breakfast on the patio. Escaping in the hedges, maybe to read a book. Dine outside with lots of white lights and candles. Cocktails on a cool spring evening. Feeling the breeze on the porch. Drinks on the porch.
