A diabetes lifestyle blog. It is a dark and stormy night. You’re alone in your car, traveling down an unfamiliar highway, when you’re suddenly stricken with a terrific thirst. You see a lonely all night convenience store up ahead, so you scream across 3 lanes of traffic and exit the highway. Your craving for a large Diet Pepsi fountain drink with the good ice is overwhelming. You quickly unbuckle your seatbelt, spring from your vehicle, and race inside. A diabetes lifestyle blog. We all have our ways of dealing with it. Some drink, some cry, some throw things, and some eat. I, of course, do all three. BUT, what I’m best at is eating my feelings. I’ve found that Mexican food is best for eating feelings. It seems to be the most satisfying. There’s nothing better than a plate full of melted cheese, tortillas, and guacamole to reduce your stress level, even if it’s just for an hour. If Mexican food isn’t your thing, then greasy burgers are a close second.
