I had a wonderful 10 day vacation from work wherein Heather and I ventured off to Colorado once again to see our parents, throw Heather another bridal shower, and cross some T's regarding our wedding at the Boulderado. I must say it was a great way to handle the 4th of July week! The sunsets were wondrous. I caught about a baker's dozen of fish from Boulder Creek. So yesterday the Kelo case is ruled 5-4 in favor of a city goverment's right to offer market value to private landowners who stand in the way of a private company's "public benefit-laced" (my new favorite slang term) proposal for land use. Although I feel that a land's private use cannot be predicted as beneficial - I mean, do the guys at the OTB establish odds for a project's possible public benefit? Is there a more scientific way? Wednesday, November 12, 2008. My girls are so different from each other. Lauren is so "girly". Her favorite colors are pink and purple. She loves dresses and jewelry and make up. She's facinated with Barbie and princesses. Her favorite things to do are play dress up and put on dance shows or plays. She thinks this is hysterical and will do it all day long. Her favorite things are to run fast and go down the slide and climb on furniture and jump on the bed or the couch. Preferably all at once.

Sunday, September 28, 2008. A Memorable Balloon Festival. Ok, here are the traditional Adirondack Balloon Festival photos. and one from Maine this summer. What else has been going on? We had a great trip to Maine this summer, had a nice time with the Marstons at their cottage, with Bryan and Jill, Colleen and Nate and Mom and Dad. Looking forward to many more trips to Maine.
