Living My Script Dream /. It Wasn't a Strike. But It Was a Good First Pitch. Just got back from my pitch class with Cynthia Whitcomb, and I'm happy to say it was a success on multiple levels. 1 I learned a LOT about things to do and NOT to do in pitching. Props bad, enthusiasm good. Script dialogue bad, brevity good. Overall, it really helped to go back over a lot of this stuff and put it on the front of my mind with only five days before the conference. I will say though that after listening to probably ...

Living My Script Dream /. If I Can't Make It, Maybe "He" Can. Friend at work came across a casting call for "Into The Wild" here in Portland on Friday. The call was specifically for boys 3-6, so I loaded up my son Evan to see if he could have better luck getting into Hollywood than I've had. We explained to Evan that acting is like "pretending." He seemed to get the whole concept and seemed cool with going to see some people who might ask him to pretend to be "angry" or "silly.". What Did Mommy Do? Klet'...

Living My Script Dream /. Read a news blurb today that said the Conan O'Brian intro to the Emmy's last night was "insensitive," and criticized the Emmy's for airing it. OK I get the point. The skit aired just hours after a horribly unfortunate accident in Kentucky in which 49 people lost their lives. Honestly, I see the tragedy there. A "pre-recorded" skit, created as a spoof from a storyline in a pre-existing TV show (Lost), which never even showed the plane crashing! Grow up, America! Although I was ve...

Living My Script Dream /. Driver's Safety Never Prepared You For This! Or those of you not familiar with the NW, most of the rumors are true, about it raining here like 360 days a year (which I gladly propagate if it means less people keep moving here, cause it really is one of the most beautiful places to live! Believe it or not there was actually VERY little damage done to the Explorer. (Ford, if you're listening, we're happy to do a paid endorsement! Posted by Eric Anderson at 7:50 PM. Score One for L...

Living My Script Dream /. Love Interest or No Love Interest. Shift in my daily schedule has created some much needed and consistent free time for script writing, so today I reached WAY back and picked up the first script I wrote called "Inside.". Inside" is essentially a merge of " Copycat. The Sigourney Weaver movie) and " Die Hard. It's the story of an award-winning architect turned agoraphobe called upon by the FBI to assist in the rescue of hostages taken captive in a high-tech building he designed.

Living My Script Dream /. Es, yes, yes. I'm still alive! My hiatus has no good excuse, and "script sell" detox is going well. I've dedicated myself to reading more scripts now-a-days, and spent some time just this afternoon reading a draft of "Chronicles of Narnia.". I noted a handful of sections in the draft I downloaded from Daily Script. Discovering a couple of these better "draft" scenes solidified in my mind the quote from William Goldman. Living My Script Dream /. Moving You Forward, 5k Breast Cancer Walk. O script news to report, but did want to share that we spent the morning in downtown Vancouver (yes, there really is one now-a-days) for the " Clara Jean, Moving You Forward, 5k Breast Cancer Walk. Up next. Bloomsday '07. A 12k fun run/walk in Spokane, WA that we try to get to every year. This walk is a fun annual event for a number of people in our family, so we're really looking forward to it. Well, all of it but "doomsday hil...OneI ...

Living My Script Dream /. Inside" rewrite = 45%. Ot much to say right now. My wife and I are working out pretty much 4-5 times a week at the gym we joined. I'm playing basketball on Monday nights and was playing soccer on Thursday nights (but that ended this week with our one and only win! Just wanted to check in and let you know that "Inside" is coming right along! I'd like to get it finished up in the next month or so, then get cracking on my next idea. I'll keep you posted. Sorry I haven't posted on t...

Living My Script Dream /. Ard to believe I haven't posted a blog in almost a MONTH, but it's true. My script writing has gone cold, but that doesn't mean I haven't been in the movie business. I've been spending my free time downloading our family movies from digital 8 video tapes to DVD. Big thanks to Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum. Software and a 250Gb external hard drive! May God bless all of you in the end of 2006 and help you achieve your dreams for 2007! Posted by Eric Anderson at 7:36 PM.
