You Betcha!: Do you believe in miracles?
http://emilyhallinan.blogspot.com/2013/01/do-you-believe-in-miracles.html
Friday, January 11, 2013. Do you believe in miracles? As you can imagine, with the announcement of Alex's new position with The Hershey Company in PA, we organized our Farewell MN Tour. Visiting places we never got around to or doing things we should have done in the past 4 years of our MN residence. Nothing like leaving things to the last minute. During the long weekend of Thanksgiving, Alex and I drove up to Eveleth, MN to visit the US Hockey Hall of Fame. Why would it be in Eveleth, MN? Simple templat...

You Betcha!: January 2013
http://emilyhallinan.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 11, 2013. You say "Goodbye" and I say "Hello.". Just a note: the weather was not bright and sunny as in the picture of our home. We took this family picture back in the summer. The weather was cold, cold and cold. Cider enjoyed her last walk on the parkway. I can't say I am going to miss walking her in the snow and ridiculously cold temperatures. And so a new adventure begins . . . Alex took his turn shooting a few rounds and then I tried again. This time I shot my first gun. Wow! Althoug...

You Betcha!: Merry Christmas!
http://emilyhallinan.blogspot.com/2013/01/merry-christmas.html
Friday, January 11, 2013. With our days numbered in Minneapolis and a long trip ahead of us, we decided to spend our Christmas in Minneapolis. I am glad we did. It was low key and simple. We chose to make reservations at one of our favorite restaurants downtown, Manny's, for dinner. We hadn't officially celebrated Alex's new job and my resigning from Aveda, so we thought we would do so over a delicious steak dinner. The long hair looks great on you! Hope you are well! You Betcha!: An American in Paris
http://emilyhallinan.blogspot.com/2013/01/an-american-in-paris.html
Wednesday, January 9, 2013. An American in Paris. I cannot believe that Alex and I were fortunate enough to have travelled to Europe this past summer with my family. I also cannot believe that it has taken me this long to scroll through my pictures and to finally post about our European vacation. Our tour of the French countryside continued to Sainte-Mer-Eglise. This town saw heavy casualties of paratroopers on D-day because they drifted too close to the fires of the city. One paratrooper, John S...The n...

You Betcha!: Thank you for the Memories Aveda!
http://emilyhallinan.blogspot.com/2013/01/thank-you-for-memories-aveda.html
Friday, January 11, 2013. Thank you for the Memories Aveda! The announcement of my leaving Aveda let alone moving to Pennsylvania shocked a lot of people, especially since my boss announced his leaving to another company a few days prior. My last couple of weeks at Aveda were crazy busy as I transitioned our work to the new team and tying up loose ends. Alex and I went to a local Irish bar to celebrate my last day. Luckily they had my new favorite beverage to toast with, Magners (Bulmers) Irish Cider.

You Betcha!: March 2012
http://emilyhallinan.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 17, 2012. Today Alex and I headed out to a local park, Minnehaha Falls, to work on our photography skills and to enjoy the AMAZING weather we are experiencing. It is March 17th and it was 80 degrees today. We absolutely deserve this preview of Summer since we still had a 7 foot drift of snow in our backyard last year about this time. Friday, March 9, 2012. Snug as a bug in a rug. Not to worry it has already melted and we are looking forward to our 60 degree weather next week. Lucky for me...

You Betcha!: Thank you Martha Stewart!
http://emilyhallinan.blogspot.com/2013/01/thank-you-martha-stewart.html
Thursday, January 10, 2013. Thank you Martha Stewart! For some reason, I got into the Halloween spirit more this year than any year in the past, which isn't saying much. We went to our usual pumpkin patch with the most unusual pumpkins. I worked really hard on picking out 3 pumpkins that worked together proportionately and in tonality of color. (The drawbacks of being a designer.). Alex and Cider were excited waiting for the trick-or-treaters. Aw, I think ALL of those pumpkins are great!
