Counting the cost...: October 2012
http://bobandsu.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Serving the Lord in South Africa. What is the Gospel Message? What we do in Africa. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.". Thursday, October 18, 2012. It's Not Always All About You. We prayed and started to wonder if we had made some wrong choices. Of course, this was putting everything back on us and not keeping our eyes on our Creator. It is amazing how fast one can go from a faith led life back to rewards based life. For ou...

Serving the Lord in South Africa. What is the Gospel Message? What we do in Africa. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.". What we do in Africa. Right now we are in Cape Town, South Africa. We are church planters, if we need a title. During our stay in Uganda we had a unique opportunity to travel around a bit. We went to Sudan, Ghana and finally South Africa. We were praying about where to plant a church. Our heart...My wife a...

Let all that you do be done with love.". Tuesday, August 14, 2012. What I've Learned: Humility. The Bible says that we must humble ourselves so the Lord may lift us up. God receives the glory when. You are lifted up! When it is all finished, we will see that it was God who gave us the good works to do, it was God who gave us the grace and strengt...

Grammy's Blog: Starting Over
http://grammy35.blogspot.com/2011/01/starting-over.html
Wednesday, January 26, 2011. I have been neglecting my blog quite a bit lately. For a couple of years, I was posting family birthdays for every month, and sometimes that’s all I had to post. But my sister Lois said she liked that, so I’m going to try to proceed with the same this year. January 12 – my great-nephew Colin. January 16 – an unnamed niece. January 22 – my twin nieces, Judy and Jackie. January 26 – my niece Connie and my new great-great-niece – Elena – born today! View my complete profile.
Grammy's Blog: December 2009
http://grammy35.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 13, 2009. Every month I am later and later with the first-of-the month blog. I need to get back into writing a little again! Today I decided not to go to Sunday School since we were having freezing rain. It was a good thing I made that decision. About fifteen minutes after I would have left, I got a phone call telling me all the morning services had been cancelled. I have our Christmas tree up and decorated. I may post a pic later, if I can find my camera. December 27 – Me.

Monday, February 28, 2011. I guess I have to get at and write another blog, since the month of February is almost over, and I haven’t posted birthdays yet. I have been working as a township auditor, and every year the records are worse than the previous year. We’re getting a new secretary, so hopefully, that will improve things. So, here are the February birthdays:. My mother’s was February 1. She would be 113 were she still living. February 4 – my great-niece Emily. February 25 – my sister Lily. My name...
Grammy's Blog: The King James Cult
http://grammy35.blogspot.com/2010/10/king-james-cult.html
Monday, October 25, 2010. The King James Cult. 8220;The Authorized Version” – the KJV cultists use this as their main base of claiming this to be “the” Word of God. The truth is that it is called the Authorized Version because the translation was made on an authorization. God will preserve His Word – the KJV cultists insist that this refers to the KJV and to the KJV only. All great revivals have occurred using the KJV. If they wanted to “show off” their knowledge of the language, they would b...The KJV c...

We love food. And beer. So we blog. Kooper’s Tavern, Fell’s Point. Tuesday night, Bob and I went to Kooper’s Tavern. It has a lovely location in Fell’s Point with views of the water, and the Under Armour factory. They have several outside tables that were already occupado when we arrived. Inside, the walls are decorated with news clippings and photos of dogs and the family. That gave it a nice cozy atmosphere. A turkey burger with avocado, arugula slaw, pepper jack cheese, tomato and red onion. By the wa...
