Bob and sue on the road. Monday, January 12, 2015. A Stop in Savannah. On our way home from Florida last year Bob asked if I wanted to stop in Savannah. We always wanted to see Savannah, so my answer was a definite YES! We loved Savannah, and enjoyed walking through their many parks and pedestrian mall. We found a restaurant that looked like fun. It was along the river, and we both had Dungeness crabs,. YUM! This building is now a restaurant, but it’s one of the oldest buildings in the city.

Bob and sue on the road. Saturday, March 31, 2012. We heard there were plantations nearby and took a ride to see what we could find. There are eight plantations near New Orleans that offer tours, and we stopped at two of them. Our first stop was Oak Alley Plantation, and this quarter mile alley of Virginia Live Oaks leading to the plantation house was just beautiful. The oaks are over 300 years old and were actually here long before the plantation house. Did you see the movie Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte?

Bob and sue on the road. Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Our Alaska Cruise – Part 2. The next part of our cruise was a trip up Glacier Bay. We spent a lot of our time sitting on our balcony enjoying the beautiful scenery, and we were glad we remembered to bring our down jackets. It’s really cold when you get close to those massive glaciers. They told us the names of all the glaciers, and we even bought a book, but it’s been six months and you know how that goes. Wow, rivers of ice! The glacier calved here.
