Ferries, Water Taxies and Tour Boats: What is a Hybrid Ferry?
http://smallpassengerboats.blogspot.com/2010/03/what-is-hybrid-ferry.html
Ferries, Water Taxies and Tour Boats. Sunday, March 14, 2010. What is a Hybrid Ferry? My definition of a hybrid is power from more than one source, such as electric, diesel, solar, sail, etc. I would not include duel fuel as it is still one power source with multiple fuels. Overall, this has proven to be a far superior system. Some of those systems are approaching 20,000 operating hours. Your comments and questions are appreciated Give me a call for more information. Nothing can guarantee success in this or any other field, but experience has prove4n time and again that good advise and planning increase your odds. Ferries, Water Taxies and Tour Boats: SMALL BUSINESS THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL
http://smallpassengerboats.blogspot.com/2010/02/small-business-bottom-of-barrel.html
Ferries, Water Taxies and Tour Boats. Monday, February 15, 2010. SMALL BUSINESS THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. If small business is the greatest generator of jobs, why is it treated so poorly? By definition, most small business don't have the clout to influence lenders, suppliers and regulators to any great extent. The Passenger Vessel Association has been an effective voice for many years, and I urge any vessel operator and their suppliers to take an active role in the organization. What about your banker?

Ferries, Water Taxies and Tour Boats: December 2009
http://smallpassengerboats.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Ferries, Water Taxies and Tour Boats. Friday, December 25, 2009. Some Things Never Change. My father was a well known and respected salesman in the shoe manufacturing industry. He used to carry a card in his wallet that said. The bitterness of poor quality lasts far longer than the sweetness of low price". I still have that card more than 40 years later and the adage is as true now as it was then. And it is just as valid in the ferry/water taxi industry. The sweetness of low price". Ferries, Water Taxies and Tour Boats: Curb Appeal
http://smallpassengerboats.blogspot.com/2010/02/curb-appeal.html
Ferries, Water Taxies and Tour Boats. Thursday, February 4, 2010. It helps a lot if what you're selling has a great look to it, and pulls the customer off the dock to the ticket booth. That's why classic style river boats are still being built today. Charter fishing docks have a lot of boats with tuna towers and big outriggers to be competitive. Did you ever see a gentlema's club without a pretty girl on the sign or ad somewhere? You have to sell the sizzle. February 15, 2010 at 1:52 PM.
