His daughters graduated from UCSD and never returned to Los Angeles, preferring to pursue their careers in San Diego. Bob’s first wife, Dorothy, died of cancer in 1998. A few years ago, my wife and I moved into a retirement development, the Delray/Boca/Boynton Golf, Spa, Bath and Tennis Club on Lake Fake-a-Wachee, on Florida’s southeast coast.
