Saturday, December 17, 2011. It has been quite a while since I've posted. One of my New Year's resolutions is to post more often. Also coming- what I have been up to this year! Its been a busy one. But today I just wanted to post this video. I first saw this two years ago at about this time when I was serving my mission. The song is sung by Amy Grant, and the lyrics are from Mary's perspective of this experience. As you watch my face. If a wiser one should have had my place. But I offer all I am.

Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Week 29 - La Cygne. First of all, I am so glad it is finally acting like spring! Thought I would get through this last winter, but I think it is. Finally over. Things are starting to turn green here and I am really. Excited about it. When I got to the midwest it was just starting to be. Fall, so I haven't really seen the beautiful green side of it. I am. And this week, it is supposed to get up to 80 degrees! When you are outside as much as we are, weather makes a huge. Are havi...

Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Week 68 - Happy New Year from Great Bend, Kansas. What a week. We made a billion batches of cookies this week and took them to everyone we know- an excellent way to get into people’s houses! We decided now we need to make cookies every week with a different theme: New Year’s cookies, winter cookies, snowman cookies, heart/cupid/valentines cookies…just keep it going all year. How can you resist two missionaries standing on your doorstep holding cookies? I climbed in and did t...

Thursday, October 28, 2010. Week 59 - Great Bend, Kansas. Well I wish I could say this has been an eventful week, but really it hasn't. Mainly because my companion has been sick since Tuesday, and she is still sick. Ah! Usually if your roommate or whatever is sick it isn't that big of a deal, you just kind of make them soup and talk to them a little and leave them alone to get better. But when you are their companion, you are where they are! In other news, Zone Conference is tomorrow! I am excited to be ...

Caitlin Marie Hafen: April 2011

Friday, April 8, 2011. What I've Been Up To. In between I have been doing absolutely nothing to write about. Becoming all worldly again. By this I mean getting a phone, a computer, and a car. Also going shopping for clothes and realizing how much I don't know what I'm doing. Really just in general not understanding what is going on at all. Taking a few trips to Provo I have taken and seeing former missionary friends and other friends! Soon to come- an actual life! So many exciting things to come.

Caitlin Marie Hafen: Coming Home.
http://caitlinhafen.blogspot.com/2011/03/coming-home.html
Friday, March 11, 2011. Well I figured I should write an entry since being home from my mission. It's hard to believe it has been over 3 weeks! Going home was a weird experience. It was strange to go to transfer bus and not have anyone to pick up or anywhere to go really. Since the other 2 sisters going home were out in Kansas and wouldn't be in Independence until 5, I got to hang out with a bunch of elders. By myself. So strange! Afterwards I went to lunch with about 25 elders- some were going home with...

Friday, February 26, 2010. Week 24 - La Cygne. So for some reason I feel like I have not much to say this week, but I guess I said that last week and then I rambled on for a while. The most exciting thing that happened this week was that we committed one of our investigators for baptism! She is the cutest. Her husband is a member but hasn't been to church for a long time. I guess one day last transfer she called up the sisters and asked them if she could get baptized. Awesome! Apparently they have change...

Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Week 75 - My Last Week as a Missionary. Wow I don’t even know what to say right now! I cannot believe this is my last email as a missionary. Really, it doesn’t seem quite real yet. People keep asking me if I am freaking out or if it seems real, and no! I have actually been really calm this week. I didn’t even cry until today. I just can’t really imagine what life is going to be like in 2 days! Wow Also a lot has changed this week! I just want everyone to go. Of course this i...
