Monday, June 21, 2010. The Amazing Toe Touch. Mom and the girls (minus heather, please come visit! Brooke had Cheerleading camp at the Great Wolf, so we went up to watch their little show. I always knew Brooke was an amazing cheerleader and then she did the most incredible toe touch I have ever seen! I was blown away, I still am. It was unreal, and beautiful, and amazing, and awesome. I can't wait to go to her games this fall! Lucy at the Lake. Oh summer, I love you. Doesn't get much better than this!

In preparation for a missions trip to China, she read this non-fiction book which tells the story of three generations of women growing up in Communist China under the dictatorship of Mao Zedong. It's horrifying and what shocked me most was the comparison of time - while people in Mao's 1960s China were experiencing one of the greatest famines ever, being tortured for being suspected.
