Day Trippin Around the Burg. Day Trips in and Around Fredericksburg Virginia. I am using a Canon Power Shot SX100IS and a Canon Power Shot SX10SI. I purchased the Cannon Power Shot SX100IS because I wanted a camera with a longer optical zoom that was compact enough to take on the kayak. It also had to be relatively cheap since I would be taking it on the water and sometimes saltwater which is much worse than fresh water. I ruined a camera getting it splashed with salt water once. It is a two seater with the mirage foot pedal units so you don’t have to paddle. It is steered with a rudder and has built in fishing rod holders. It is 12’ 8 long and is 34 inches wide and weighs 74 pounds. It is a great flat water craft. It is very stable and comfortable. We also have a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100. A 10’ sit on top kayak.
