Jacob Climbs Things: May 2015
http://jacobclimbsthings.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
The blog of Jacob Cook. Tuesday, 19 May 2015. We began our 3 month road trip through the states in Indian Creek, Utah. The route went smoothly and we freed the whole thing over two days! I actually didn't fall at all and Bron only slipped off a couple of times, going back to red-point each pitch. An amazing achievement for her after only two and a half years of climbing! She also lead two of the six 5.12 pitches. Check out the video of our ascent! On to the next adventure! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Jacob Climbs Things: February 2014
http://jacobclimbsthings.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The blog of Jacob Cook. Tuesday, 25 February 2014. Just had a week climbing on the conglomerate towers of Meteora in central Greece with my girlfriend Bron. This place seems to be a bit off the radar for most climbers in the UK, which is a shame because it is, totally, awesome! Just looking around in the mornings at all these huge 300m towers filled me with childlike psyche to get out climbing, "I wanna go up there! This was my first time using the Edelweiss Oxegen II. Thankfully after this it was slight...

Adventures of a climber who likes to take the train. Last year I did plenty of great climbing and went on some very enjoyable trips, but I was rather left with the feeling that I had lacked a little bit of adventure in my activities. Whilst I very much enjoy pushing myself physically, the more adventurous types of climbing add a little bit of spice which I can’t do without. It’s one island, but the northern part is called Lewis and the southern part is called Harris). And Limpet Crack E3 5c. When we firs...

Adventures of a climber who likes to take the train. It’s always the beta. After several failed attempts to climb an 8a sport climb last year I decided to sack off roped climbing for the winter to focus on bouldering. More strength and power would make everything feel easier and I was excited to find out what a full-on foray into the world of bouldering would do for me. Anstey’s Cove. I can think of worse places to have a project. What actually happened is that I got very frustrated and tunnel vision set...

Jacob Climbs Things: December 2013
http://jacobclimbsthings.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
The blog of Jacob Cook. Friday, 6 December 2013. Firstly I'm really psyched to announce I've joined the Edelweiss. UK team, they've been quietly making the best quality ropes for years and it will be great to be able to get out climbing on them. Second, my ascent of the New Statesman at Ilkley last month has been made into a film by my housemate Kevin Fenemore who is the man behind Abstract Normality Media:. Jacob Climbs Things: February 2015
http://jacobclimbsthings.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
The blog of Jacob Cook. Tuesday, 3 February 2015. Back in October I had the clever idea that in order to finish off my PhD thesis I should go and live in El Chorro. Needless to say I still haven't finished my thesis! Bron and I arranged a kind of job at the Olive Branch. Towards the end I started feeling quite fit and managed to onsight three 8a's (Antidoto, Pepe El Boludo and XXL). Unfortunately, despite being great personal achievements for me, these probably aren't so interesting to read about....
