Plus, she brought a big crock pot of home-made split pea soup, a bunch of sandwich fixings, and a home-made "black and white" pie for lunch for all of us. She is a fabulous cook! Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Dr Johnson also made us both feel better by saying that he doubted that the MRI on Bob's spine would show any tumors. That certainly was nice to hear! He was also doubtful that the spinal tap would contain any cancerous cells, but was less certain about this prognostication than that of the MRI.

Bob had as good a night last night as could be expected. This morning he is breathing on his own and seems to be resting fairly peacefully although he has been complaining of having a headache. We were hoping that Bob's spinal MRI (done Monday, 2/14/11) and the spinal tap (which was done today) would be the final tests needed to formulate a diagnosis/prognosis/treatment plan. He would have been moved to the neuro floor yesterday, but there was no a room available so we’re still in ICU. Hopefully we’ll be moved today to a private room so I can stay overnight with him. Also I think they’re going to get him out of bed and walking today. January 31, 2011 at 9:35 PM. Sunday - Recovery Day 6.
