Sunday, March 3, 2013. Celebrating Dad's 84th Birthday. Many family members gathered at my house last month to celebrate Dad's 84th birthday. There was Dick and Georgia Simpson, Alicia and Stephen Bonfoey, Joan and Dean Woerner and Jason. After the usual birthday dinner which many helped to prepare and deep dish apple pie for birthday cake, we sang songs accompanied by several ukeleles. What an awesome video! Thanks for posting this, Aunt Barbara! Wish I could have been there! March 5, 2013 at 6:41 PM.

Sunday, April 21, 2013. Magic Computer / Easter Memories. The week before the LDS General Conference which I watch on here, my Internet quit working. I finally had time the night before Conference to try to sort out what the problem was. I had to call the provider of my Internet which I had never done before. (Jason was always my computer guru.). As my niece, Abby, says, "Waahoo! The Irwin family went to Church and had Easter baskets. One very fun activity the whole family enjoyed was egg hunts. ...Sorry...

Sunday, August 5, 2012. My Summer Vacation is Over. I had a wonderful summer vacation traveling to see family and friends, working on house projects and mostly slowing down to appreciate the many blessings I have in my life! Dad and I were able to attend Aunt Carole's party down in Orange County where we enjoyed seeing my cousins, Dave and Pam, and their families. I started back to work last Thursday. Sunday, December 2, 2012. November started off with my sister, Joan, and her husband, Dean, coming down to visit. I hadn't seen them since February so I was very excited to get together with them. Sunday, November 4, 2012. Enriching Events in October. The first weekend of October I was spiritually nourished and uplifted by watching the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' General Conference which was broadcast from Salt Lake City. I love watching conference! The second weekend I was able to visit the LA Temple for two days. What a wonderfully peaceful and serene place. My friends and I outside the LA Temple. Monday, October 1, 2012. Daily thoughts and meditations based on sharings of Al Anon. I bought the book, Hope for Today. After attending my first AlAnon meeting back in February of 2006. Al Anon is a "fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope in order to solve their common problems.". Sunday, September 2, 2012. My poor old Honda. I consider myself to be less interested in cars than some people. I used to think it was because I lived in Caracas during the teenage "car-crazy" stage but it may be more due to my father's influence. Does anyone remember the story about the first company he worked for and how he noticed that many of the managers drove old cars and people who had the lower level jobs drove the fancy cars? At least I was able to donate it to a charity organization.
