SKY TO SEA - 2010

This journal will document my cross-Canada voyage on a Harley in the summer of 2010 and is in memory of Candace, my wife and partner of 35 yrs who passed away in October 2009. I'll be leaving Alberta's "Big Sky" country in early June and heading to the Atlantic ocean. Along the way, I'll visit old haunts, meet up with family, see longtime friends, make new ones and check out sights and roads we always wanted to see. I expect to spend up to 3 months and rack up more than 17,500 kms.

Some of the statistics regarding the journey are as follows:. The entire trip lasted 68 days, 2 days short of 10 weeks. I traveled over 16, 600 kms through 9 provinces. I met all but 2 individuals I had hoped to see. I was delayed only 1 day due to rain. I ate no steaks in July. And the Glide ran, oh she ran well. August 21, 2010 at 9:20 PM.

Montana on the other hand is a beautiful example of the transition that US#2 goes through, from prairie to range land to foothills to the Rockies.
