So far our trip had been largely an offtrail hike, but in the confines of the slot canyon, steep walls presented bits of class 3 scrambling, more interesting than challenging. In a few cases I used his descent route. I came to know Andrew Nugara through his postings on the Outdoors Forum. Mojave National Preserve, Nevada. April 12, 2015. Appearing as a straight ridge that comes to a point, there's no hint of a crescent shape on Crescent Peak. Nor is the ridge steep. We started out as a family following a dream. It all happened in 1975 when my dad, a construction worker at the time, decided to move to Florida from the Bronx, New York. My father and mother, Nunzio and Sara Amante, saw an opportunity for our family and they took it. What is now Bob's Pizza was a breakfast and lunchette with two tables with enough room.
