The 2005 Iberia is made in the old-fashioned Spanish way: it ages 2 years in barrel and at least 5 years in bottle before its release. This blend of 4 grapes (2 Spanish and 2 Portuguese) is complex and European in flavor. Touriga and Tinto Cao are used in the USA for making port-style wines. In Portugal, they are integral parts, especially Touriga, of red wine as well. The 2005 vintage which was a spectacular year for red wines will probably age well until at least 2018.
