The Pain and Discomfort Survey for Musicians 2016 - Body Mapping Australia. Fifty-seven participants of varying backgrounds with playing experience ranging between just three through to sixty years. Respondents represented staff and students of different conservatoriums, members of instrumental and vocal ensembles, beginners through to professionals. To make sound and the distilling of these two elements of performance forms the essence of my teaching. This process of making music has revealed itself as the key to moving with ease and joy and it stands alone as the most effective technique I've found for becoming a more liberated musician.
