Boiled Peanuts and Porches

Thursday, August 9, 2012. We finally put the finishing touches on the nursery. We have already spent many hours in this rocking chair. And changed countless diapers here:. My sister made the bunting over the crib and the bedding was made by my mother in law. The artwork and models were a joint effort between Aaron and I (he made the models of course). But the best part of this room is this little guy. Links to this post. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Look who made his appearance 8 days early:. I have never r...

Boiled Peanuts and Porches: Baby's Rocker: Before and After

http://boiledpeanutsandporches.blogspot.com/2012/06/babys-rocker-before-and-after.html

Friday, June 15, 2012. Baby's Rocker: Before and After. My grandmother had a cute rocker purchased from an antique store in her house that was then passed on to my older sister. It has been used to rock 3 babies and has received a lot of love over the years. I happily accepted my sister's offer of the rocker to use for baby's nursery, especially since she claims that it is quite possibly the most comfortable chair on earth :). I am so pleased with the result:. The nursery is coming together! THRILLED wit...

Boiled Peanuts and Porches: February 2012

http://boiledpeanutsandporches.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Monday, February 27, 2012. So what has been going on lately aside from work, house hunting, surviving a wretched stomach virus and growing a baby? We were excited to find out at our last appointment that baby is a BOY and is doing well! He has been kicking up a storm and we already love him so much. Hope you can make it! Aaron has been busy with school. This has been a challenging year for him to say the least. I am so proud of his perseverance. He has also been working out diligently as he p...Nice shap...

Boiled Peanuts and Porches: Crib

http://boiledpeanutsandporches.blogspot.com/2012/06/crib.html

Tuesday, June 19, 2012. As of this weekend, the crib is put together and the bedding is on it! Many, many thanks are due to Aaron's mom, Mary Jo, who made the bedding. She did a fabulous job and I love it so much! Also, a big thanks is in order for my sister Anna, who let us borrow the crib, even though it meant the not so easy transition of moving her 2 year old to a big boy bed. Looks so good. I love the bedding and cant wait to see pictures of the completed nursery. June 19, 2012 at 6:53 PM. View my c...

Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Review: The Hunger Games. Aaron and I had both been hearing a lot about the series The Hunger Games. By Suzanne Collins, but found that there was a huge wait list for the books at the library. Before we took our little getaway. Last month, we perused the library looking for some good reading and listening in the car. We were excited to find the audio CDs for The Hunger Games. In the young adult section. We snatched them up and promptly devoured them. Is the correct word! Here is...

Boiled Peanuts and Porches: Waiting and Some Thrifty Finds

http://boiledpeanutsandporches.blogspot.com/2012/07/waiting-and-some-thrifty-finds.html

Friday, July 6, 2012. Waiting and Some Thrifty Finds. It's no secret that I love thrifting. It is one of my favorite past times to make the short trek up Green Springs highway and be able to stop at 3 different thrift stores (Goodwill, Salvation Army and Mission Possible). Many times I don't buy anything, but I always enjoy the hunt and sometimes I come away with some great finds! Both are boutique brands that would cost WAY more new and neither are stained. You should join me (click on the link. Subscri...

The Dent Family: The Agricultural Museum

http://christinadent.blogspot.com/2013/04/the-agricultural-museum.html

Thursday, April 11, 2013. Since Mom and Dad hadn't been since they were kids, we thought it was time to check out the Ag Museum. You can tell Tyson has not grown up on a farm. He moved the stool from BESIDE the cow to BEHIND the cow, then tried to milk it from behind. You'd never know he was the great-grandson of farmers. I tried to teach him a thing or two about technique, don't worry. The verdict is in, I'm a big guy! Posted by Thomas, Christina, and Family. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Wilson's Dang Blog: April 2011

http://mmwilson.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

The Wilson's Dang Blog. Tuesday, April 26, 2011. So much for calm. I closed my last blog with, "Here's hoping we all sleep well tonight and tomorrow is calmer then today! I did not get my wish. After all the drama of going to the hospital and being sent home with Jeremiah was nervous to go. I did not want to be sent home. Especially since I had been to the hospital the day before and the midwife told me I probably had over a week left. Was on the way or something was wrong. The contractions started getti...

Ephram is doing great! Here's a quick update on him. He LOVES to be swaddled! Even when he's not sleepy, he likes to be swaddled, snuggled and look around. He's a paci boy. The Wilson's Dang Blog. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Thursday, March 24, 2011. Jeremiah's turning out to be a very creative little boy! He loves playing with stickers, play dough and coloring. Here's his latest creation. Thankfully, it's not on the wall! This is serious stuff! The finished product. After multiple moves from shirt, to cheek, to paper. I love how he crosses his feet. Birthday was last week. It was a low key day that my two boys made very special. Matt grilled my favorite chicken. Except I sa...

The Wilson's Dang Blog: Even more so

http://mmwilson.blogspot.com/2012/01/even-more-so.html

The Wilson's Dang Blog. Friday, January 27, 2012. When I was a teenager the main family I would babysa it for had three kids. The oldest was Megan, then D.J. and Zack was the youngest. Before I would start sitting for a family I would always go over to visit to get a feel for the family. He was just full of energy, extremely curious, loud, so sweet and maybe a little mischievous. Sound like another little boy I know. My very own, Jeremiah! It's taken me a little while to come to grips with what this mean.

Friday, November 25, 2011. So I splurged today and bought myself an early Christmas present. I bought some photoshop actions from Florabella. I LOVE her actions! They are so easy to use and make your pictures look lovely. I have been playing around with them all day. Here are a few examples. Lens flare and sunflare. My child refuses to smile. http://hannaharcher.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Poor little Levi doesn't have any recent pics to post! I think I had taken about 9,000 pictures of Ethan by this time! I took Levi to his two month check up, and he weighed 12 lbs and was 23 inches, both of which are 50th percentile. I looked back and Ethan was 13 and half pounds and 24 inches! Maybe Levi will catch up, but Ethan has always been big =). He finally started sleeping through the night last week! And that "baby Lebi cries loud! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A perfect activity for a chilly afternoon. Pinewood Derby round 1. This week we had the chance to experience the Pinewood Derby. I’d never been to one and didn’t know what to expect. Jess worked on Oliver’s car the night before making sure the weight was around 5 ounces. Oliver and I finished it the day of the races. To finish the car the directions read:. It was quite the event. I think the little siblings enjoyed it almost as much, maybe a bit more, than the kids participating. Back at home it got a li...
