Lists and nonsensical ramblings. Sunday, February 28, 2010. Hockey and the Olympics: A Conversation. Well, the Olympics are over. Another host city is left with a crippling debt, and NBC has likely lost millions and millions of dollars over the span of a mere two weeks. Similar to every other Olympics I've endured, I basically maintained partial interest throughout. The Olympics are a channel-surfing compromise. The chat begins at 3:02 PM EST. Zero chance. Let the hockey live chat begin! A riot in Canada...

Kaleidoscopes: 15 Years Later.
http://wesleywarwick.blogspot.com/2010/10/15-years-later.html
Lists and nonsensical ramblings. Thursday, October 7, 2010. Note: I'm resurrecting this blog to pay proper homage to the 2010 Cincinnati Reds baseball season. Maybe I'll even crap out a blog post here and there from this point forward. Who can say? I was 14-years-old in 1995. It was three years prior to my brief "I'm too cool for sports" phase when I attempted to adopt the 7 Seconds song " I Hate Sports. Hockey card tucked away somewhere. But I digress . . . Well, aside from the blip in 2000 when the Red...

Kaleidoscopes: April 2010
http://wesleywarwick.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Lists and nonsensical ramblings. Monday, April 26, 2010. I attended my first Dark Lord Day. This past Saturday. If you're unfamiliar with this magical, alcohol-drenched pandemonium, it's a full day of beer euphoria presented by Three Floyds Brewery. Each year, the brewery unleashes its batch of Dark Lord, a Russian imperial stout sold for one day only. With the craft beer revolution in full force. Dark Lord). We opted to head into the brewery first to check out a scene in which there was no shortage ...

Kaleidoscopes: The Albums of 2009.
http://wesleywarwick.blogspot.com/2009/12/albums-of-2009.html
Lists and nonsensical ramblings. Monday, December 7, 2009. The Albums of 2009. It's that time of the year again. Time for my annual "Best Albums" feature where I act like I'm knowledgeable and insightful when it comes to discussing current music trends. Sounds like a fun game, right? It's inevitable that I will leave off several notable albums this year, but if I can't remember them off the top of my head, then they're not really worth noting (for the most part). I glanced back at last year's list. Which...

Lists and nonsensical ramblings. Thursday, October 22, 2009. A "Fun" Theory About a Mind-Boggling Contraption. My roommate introduced me to the recent theory concerning the Large Hardron Collider that's located in the countryside near Geneva, Switzerland. Instead of trying to explain the device and its purpose (I'd inevitably botch the description), I'm going to refer to a June 2007 article from Popular Mechanics. Daunting shit, right? Is that the Collider is being sabotaged by forces/humans from the fut...

http://wesleywarwick.blogspot.com/2010/04/im-adult-maybe.html
Lists and nonsensical ramblings. Sunday, April 4, 2010. I'm an Adult (Maybe). I maintain a nine to five job to some degree, meaning I work at least 40 hours a week. I own a relatively expensive suit and several ties. I run and exercise regularly. I make my bed every day. I have impeccable credit and always pay my bills on time. I have short hair and an expensive pair of glasses. I take several vitamins a day. I remember the last time the Reds won the Wold Series. I pretend to read the New York Times.

Lists and nonsensical ramblings. Friday, December 25, 2009. A Few Quick Christmas Thoughts. Sitting in the Northside Tavern on Christmas Eve with some close friends, we came to the obvious conclusion that Christmas has lost all its luster. Who knew this could ever happen? Okay, I'm heading back to watch snippets of. Without ever actually seeing it in its entirety) and eat homemade chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. Happy holidays and all that. Monday, December 7, 2009. Kaleidoscopes: Under Construction.
http://wesleywarwick.blogspot.com/2010/07/under-construction.html
Lists and nonsensical ramblings. Sunday, July 11, 2010. Does anyone read this thing regularly? Well, it's going on hiatus until I can redesign and rethink. Needless to say, there haven't been many posts recently. Not to worry, though, because I still have a fuck ton of shit to say and complain about, but I'm just searching for the right context and chasm in which to throw my thoughts. Please stay tuned. Also, I've had more than one friend tell me to post the shit I write for the Chicago Reader. Whoa dude...
