A blog for people who are interested in seeing rowing become a popular sport in Boise, Idaho. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Liam will be heading to the NW Jr. Regionals this weekend in Vancouver. We ran into a bit of a glitch with his registration since BRC doesn't have USRowing membership - I've mentioned this before in emails to the group. I've created a Facebook page for BRC, but haven't been assiduous about its administration. Can't check it from work and am usually otherwise engaged when at home.

It’s understandable if you haven’t noticed: Rowers frequently start at 5:30 am, before most of us leave for work. What’s surprising is how ignorant we are of big-time regattas. Results made few newspapers and rated nary a second of ESPN coverage.

We will be working with the YMCA to confirm a date and organize the event. I would love to learn more about the efforts of getting a Boise rowing club together.
