Tuesday, February 19, 2013. If you ever wanted to support a mission aviation project directly, here is your chance. I also ask for your continued prayers. Some of us would not be here today if it were not for the prayers that you untiringly make to keep us safe. May the Lord Bless your offerings and multiply them greatly. Bolivia Mission Aviation: October 2012
http://hermanbolivia.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 23, 2012. What a year 2012 has been thus far! What a year 2012 has been thus far! At around mid-night the mini-van ran into deep water, the driver tried to forge across the flooded road. Bad things seem to always happen at night. I had decided not to fly a single engine over open water at night,. But I figured that my first leg of the journey from Collegedale to Miami would be alright. So I took off around 11ish on a Saturday night together with Gabriel Jones, a new GMI pilot that wi...

Bolivia Mission Aviation: April 2013

Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Like riding a bicycle again. Have you ever gone a long time without riding a bicycle and thought to yourself that it may not be possible to do so again? Then the next thing you know you are on the bicycle, peddling away, your mind communicating to your body without thinking and just doing. Being available to help others in ways that you least expect can be just as rewarding in my opinion. We need your prayers directed to the Lord’s work more than ever before. What we ar...Down th...

Bolivia Mission Aviation: March 2014
http://hermanbolivia.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 16, 2014. So, we set out with machetes in hand to clear out land, yet not knowing where all the money was going to come from. This was the place to build a hanger for the airplanes that had just been transported by truck and were now sitting in front of the house. For a few days we chopped and burned and pulled out stumps and kept telling ourselves, “do you think this is far enough into the jungle to fit the hanger? Most of the roof skeleton in place. View from inside the house. The followi...

Sunday, February 9, 2014. Hanger and Ferry update. Here are pictures of progress on the hanger. Though it was very hot at the start of construction, we have now hit rainy season and the roof has been delayed by rain. Plans are set to get it finished up this week and hopefully will have pictures of the roof on soon. Steve, Lincoln, and Warren. Finally, after struggling to figure out how to best go about laying the brick, an Argentinian missionary had the solution. Nearly 10,000 brick laid in 6 days. Santa...

Bolivia Mission Aviation: Trials of Faith- “A drug trafficker and a spy” Part 2
http://hermanbolivia.blogspot.com/2015/04/trials-of-faith-drug-trafficker-and-spy.html
Friday, April 17, 2015. Trials of Faith- “A drug trafficker and a spy” Part 2. The following day we said our good byes to the girls who had been traveling with us and the rest of the missionaries and boarded an Airbus 319 out of Leticia. Our flight took us to Bogota and from there a connection to Cucuta, which would put us at the boarder of Colombia and Venezuela that evening. Everything happened like clockwork, no problems whatsoever,. Waiting room. Here I was asked all kinds of questions. I tol...To vi...

http://hermanbolivia.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 3, 2014. Bolivia mission aviation has seen a downpour of blessings these past few months. Though it was not my intent to keep silent, I would like to give you an update on current progress. We have truly taken some big steps forward! Back in August it was decided to take the one and only airplane we had functioning in Bolivia, back to the states to receive its annual inspection. Since then, new opportunities have arisen which have changed our plans completely. Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Project...

Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Trials of faith - “A flat tire” Part 1. Soon I had another plan. I needed to get a spare flown here from Santa Cruz, and in a couple days we would be on our way again. Steve Wilson sent me the spare tire via an airline that would hand over the tire to me the next day. I would get it on, and by Friday we would be on our way. Small delay, a little patience I thought. Airplanes came and went all day Thursday. I could not believe my situation! The next day I went to the office. S...

Monday, November 10, 2014. Second airplane operating in Bolivia. Ear friends, it’s true! Our second airplane is now operating in Bolivia. The Cessna 182 Turbo that was so close to being finished a few months ago is now operating in Bolivia. Praise the Lord! Steve, Brendon, and myself filling animal holes on the runway before the C-182's flight. Pulling the airplane out of the hanger. Running the engine up and lining up for take-off. We hope to help many more medivac’s like this in the coming months.
