Old films and me: September 2013
http://oldfilmsgoingthreadbare.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Old films and me. No matter where the clock's needles are, I'm game for a film! But, unlike my peers, I seek refuge in the celluloid products of the 50s, 60s and 70s. The romance those days, I feel, was supremely subtle. The stories, convincing, the heroes heroic, the ladies enchanting and the music, oh-so haunting! In short, I love travelling back in time to delve into the golden era of Bollywood and Hollywood. It's solace I find there. Blogadda Who are you reading today? Wednesday, 4 September 2013.

..so they dance!: Objects of filmi fondness.
http://sotheydance.blogspot.com/p/objects-of-filmi-fondness.html
Reviews and ramblings on Indian cinema. Objects of filmi fondness. And stayed the same until I updated it in 2012. This is the updated version. Let's be frank about this. A lot of what I watch is very male-centric, as is most Indian cinema, hell, as is most cinema. But that doesn't mean I don't have a taste for cool female characters, be they kickass or more subdued. See also: my favourite Hindi film heroines. Spoof / satire / meta / filmi inside jokes. See also: 70's week posts. Very much with you on th...

Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Medea Redux. I eat my children. Or not. I realized I didn’t even give the bare premise of Winnie and Wolf. Last post. So I’ll do it here and get back to WW. I wrote the following last Sunday, along with the title of this post:]. But who can think of re-doing when everything is sun and happiness outside! What a lovely day. Chocolate, book-browsing, coffee, gardens, Kate Bush revisits, oooooh! Not to mention looking forward to watching adaptation of Passage to India. Which should ...

http://sotheydance.blogspot.com/2013/01/this-is-story-of-how-i-got-completely.html
Reviews and ramblings on Indian cinema. Tuesday, January 22, 2013. This is the story of how I got completely obsessed with Randeep Hooda. Everybody's allowed to gain a new quirk over the New Year, right? Mine just happened to be an instant obsession with Randeep Hooda (all thanks to Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai. It's perfectly possible. Is my interest inadvisable for others considering how many crap films I ended up watching just for him? So here's my haul so far. And safe to say it was not a very good on...

Escallonia Hedge: I Just Love This Poem
http://escalloniahedge.blogspot.com/2009/06/i-just-love-this-poem.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2009. I Just Love This Poem. This poem was distributed in my Canonicity class some time ago, as an example of what is (as it turns out, a reasonably well-known) bad poem. We had to say if it was 'bad' or not and why. In the right mood, I might cry to this. And then I might cry some more for being wretched enough at having been emotionally provoked by something so ludicrous. Is it wrong for me to take pleasure in this, both sincerely and for its comic value? From The Gallery of Pigeons.
