Ágrip af sögu Meistarafélags Bólstrara. Frá 70 ára afmæli Einars Waage, bólstrara, 1960. Það mun hafa verið um 1906 að bólstrun barst til Íslands. Danskur bólstrari, Axel Meinholt, kom til Íslands og útskrifaði hann fyrsta nemann, ( án námssamnings ) Kristinn Sveinsson. Um 1922 flutti Axel aftur til Danmerkur. Meistarafélagið bauð öllum félögum og mökum í skemmti- og fræðsluferð til Spánar í október. 2006 í tilefni af því að 100 ár voru frá þvi að bólstrun hófst á Íslandi. Formenn félagsins frá upphafi :.

Sýning var haldin í Kolaportinu 24.-26. október 1997. Þar var félagið með sýningarbás á Handverksýningu sem félagið Íðir stóð fyrir. Hér sjáum við útstillinguna . Frá vinstri Ásgeir N. Ólafsson, Hafsteinn Sigurbjarnason og Elínborg S. Jónsdóttir. Elínborg við vinnu á sýningunni. Sýningargestir gátu fengið að fylgjast með vinnubrögðum fagmanna/ kvenna. Síðan er í vinnslu.
