The Tartarus Rim: September 2015
http://www.thetartarusrim.com/2015_09_01_archive.html
In the dark and distant future the Tartarus Rim can be just this side of hell . . . Or the closest thing to salvation. Sunday, September 27, 2015. Enter the Rồng. The car to beat in recent years has been Rồng-1. Or "Dragon 1." Like all the vehicles of such races. Is a restored and heavily modified twen-cen hydrocarbon burner. Replicas are legal, of course, so long as they follow the basic pattern, but. Gained it's enigmatic name from an early owner, a gentleman of Asian ancestry in the ancient Earth st...

Oldhammer on a budget: Painting Citadel Judge Dredd Part 12 - East-Meg 2 Judges Boris & Viktor
http://oldhammeronabudget.blogspot.com/2015/08/painting-citadel-judge-dredd-part-12.html
Oldhammer on a Budget. Evil Space Dorf Project - Wave 1. Evil Space Dorf Project - Wave 2. Friday, 7 August 2015. Painting Citadel Judge Dredd Part 12 - East-Meg 2 Judges Boris and Viktor. Having picked up many packs (Read 4) of formally unreleased ex-Citadel RT/JD figures at BOYL this last weekend it would have been a shame not to get a couple painted eh? Big Boris and Sharpeye Viktor. I stayed someone faithful to a what a East-Meg Judge would look like but adding a small change or 2 to make them my own.

Heroes of the Age: A Band of Joyous Heroes
http://heroesoftheage.blogspot.com/p/a-band-of-joyous-heroes.html
Heroes of the Age. A Band of Joyous Heroes. A Band of Joyous Heroes. A Band of Joyous Heroes (BOJH) is a game set in MAR Barker's Tékumel setting; the setting from the old TSR game: The Empire of the Petal Throne (EPT). What sort of game you ask? Well, in the past I've called it a "Tabletop Adventure Game" or "RPG-Lite" and, as you may know, it's based upon the Two Hour Wargames family of games. They have started using the term "Immersion Game" for some of their games so I guess that is what it is. This ...

Heroes of the Age: January 2015
http://heroesoftheage.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Heroes of the Age. A Band of Joyous Heroes. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Actually, they've almost been and gone. At least, if I had got a lick of sleep last night I would have said so. As it is I am sick for one more day anyway. I was sick for about a week during the holidays and have been again since Saturday evening. Hopefully, tomorrow I will be able to report a full return to health.or "GE" anyway (GE = "Good Enough"). Monday: Monday is the new goal for RTH (Return to Health) day. And Happy 40th EPT!

Heroes of the Age: September 2014

Heroes of the Age. A Band of Joyous Heroes. Saturday, September 20, 2014. Digitizing Tékumel - Part 4: Detailing the Mssúma River. The first thing I did was to offset the centerline on each side in one kilometer increments. This was so that I could get an idea of the river at various widths. I think I stopped at 5 kilometers total. You can see how it compares to the width of the line used to describe the river on the original map. Then I used an AutoCAD tool called a spline. This next picture shows Tsoly...

Heroes of the Age. A Band of Joyous Heroes. Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Here are Dark Fable's pretty Senet players all ready for a day's shopping in Thebes! They're riding the Tékumel Project's Qól Palanquin. But wait, where are their bearers? No Shopping today. :-(. Unfortunately the Qól are both too sinister and too afraid of the bright sun to be much good for shopping.). Senet players by David Soderquist. Available from Dark Fable Miniatures. Heroes of the Age. A Band of Joyous Heroes. Sunday, August 9, 2015. Digitizing Tékumel, Part 21: More on Appendix '0'. The above map shows which pages of the report cover which sections of river, including those referenced in my last post. The map below shows the areas referenced in the pages immediately above. There is an extra cataract (marked "Upper Gate? I'm not sure if it is the gate described in the text or whether it was somehow left out of the report. The distances listed don't seem to fit. I kno...

Heroes of the Age. A Band of Joyous Heroes. Wednesday, February 18, 2015. A Rough Guide to Clan Status. How's this for a rough guide to clan status? The Emperor - Is;. The Imperial Clan - Are;. The Very High Clans - Always Have Been;. The High Clans - Did Something;. The Middle Clans - Do Something;. The Low Clans - Serve Someone;. The Very Low Clans - Do Something No One Else Wants To (or can or knows how to). But how does it work? Does it even work? But how *does* it work? But that is one I just made u...

Heroes of the Age: Digitizing Tékumel, Part 19: a return to the Mssúma river valley...
http://heroesoftheage.blogspot.com/2015/07/digitizing-tekumel-part-19-return-to.html
Heroes of the Age. A Band of Joyous Heroes. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Digitizing Tékumel, Part 19: a return to the Mssúma river valley. To the west, Jikutlár fief is visible. This fief features in one of the Solo Gamebooks - the one with the green cover, IIRC. I have located it according to the description in the book: approximately 200 tsán north of Jakálla. The other named places - Anján Wood, Cholúga, Máshtla, Diridé, and Chorkúda - all come from that adventure. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). From ...
