Kauai: Day 6 | Squid Ink
https://sixgables.wordpress.com/2013/10/14/kauai-day-6
Just WHAT do you think you're doing? Who is this person, anyway? October 14, 2013 in adventure. There’s not a whole lot to say about our last day. We had a red eye flight, so we had a whole extra day. We decided to go see some of the nearby waterfalls, buy some souvenirs, and hang out at the Marriott pool. We hadn’t even SEEN the pool yet. Chicken. My gals can clean an old soup carcass like pirhana. I’ve gone native by this point. I want to wear a plumeria bloom every day. We’re already plotting ou...

Confessions of a Canine Couch Potato: February 2015
https://caninecouchpotato.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Confessions of a Canine Couch Potato. Friday, February 13, 2015. In 1918 the U.S. Postal Service issued a 24-cent air mail stamp that soon became world famous. It was supposed to be used on letters carried between Washington D.C. and New York City by airplane. Air mail was a brand new service back then, as airplanes had only been around for a few years. The airplanes in the center were printed upside-down! No more of the misprinted stamps ever surfaced, and whenever one of them comes up for sale, it alwa...

Confessions of a Canine Couch Potato: Happy birthday to me!
https://caninecouchpotato.blogspot.com/2015/04/happy-birthday-to-me.html
Confessions of a Canine Couch Potato. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Happy birthday to me! A "5 Years Ago Today" reminder popped up on Jeannie's Facebook page this morning. For some reason I always celebrate my "birthday" (in New Buddy Years) on or about April 13th, by going to the vet to get stuck with needles and have my nails clipped and various other indignities. But it beats living in a sinkhole and sleeping in the rain. Thanks for sharing your home with me, Mike and Jeannie. April 20, 2015 at 1:22 PM.

Kauai: day two | Squid Ink
https://sixgables.wordpress.com/2013/10/08/kauai-day-two
Just WHAT do you think you're doing? Who is this person, anyway? October 8, 2013 in adventure. Okay, so, weddings are over. The peak has been reached, it’s all downhill from here. That was one helluva party. The wedding itself was lovely. The whole thing took place at the Na Aina Kai Botanical Garden. The ceremony was under a tree, followed by cookies and drinks in the hedge maze. So they got married and turned us loose on the cookies and it was lovely, but you know, just nice. A fire was built on the be...

Just WHAT do you think you're doing? Who is this person, anyway? October 5, 2013 in adventure. So, it’s pretty here. We woke to find that this is the view from our room:. We’re at a Marriott property, and they’re always nice, but this one is…grand. Huge columns holding up those open-air spaces that you see on TV. Massive ceramic urns. 10 ft tall concrete fish. Where do these things come from? It there a factory that just makes giant hotel decor? Or maybe the truck filled with them? We got our rental car ...

Kauai: Day Three | Squid Ink
https://sixgables.wordpress.com/2013/10/13/kauai-day-three
Just WHAT do you think you're doing? Who is this person, anyway? October 13, 2013 in adventure. Much to our sadness, Sweet Maries was closed on Sundays. We had to have coffee at (shhh) Starbucks. We stopped by the Coconut Festival in Kapa’a on our way to the wedding brunch. Only these were kids. They went to a school at which the older kids taught the younger. They were really good and utterly adorable. I didn’t pick any up, of course. I’ve seen The Brady Bunch. I wonder how many times a day the front de...

An Assortment of Photographs and Memories and Minutiae That Flow In And Out Of My Mind. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. A Visit To Noogan Town. Mike and I just returned home from Noogan town to visit with Eric and Becky and Evan. We had lots of fun playing with Evan and watching him experience some new foods. This was a combination of carrots and sweet potatoes. After dinner, Evan definitely needed a bath! Then Evan and Grandpa needed to recover from a weekend full of fun! Posted by SJM @ 5:09 PM.

http://sjmcblog.blogspot.com/2008/08/another-year.html
An Assortment of Photographs and Memories and Minutiae That Flow In And Out Of My Mind. Saturday, August 02, 2008. As you can see by the dates of my entries, I am not a real dedicated blogger. Not too much that is blog-worthy happens in my life. That will soon change when Becky gives birth to my first grandchild. I am leaving tomorrow for Noogan Town to await the blessed event. The next time you see my blogging face, you can call me Grandma.Gran-mama.or Grandmother Most Exalted! But I will not be Granny!
