Thursday, October 4, 2012. A Word about Markets. Krishna Rajendra Market, Bangalore. We spent 25 days in the South of India in August. We arrived in Bangalore just before dawn, climbed into a taxi and watched the city wake up in the mist, the way it always seems to wake up in India. Sunday, May 12, 2013. Have I Told You About Our Dove? This is Habigail and Nanook. They started squatting in that flowerpot that used to hold crops such as ficus plants about 2.5 weeks ago. It was the day after I had just started to plan the escape garden. Those are their huevos (family portrait). Habigail pretending I can't see her (I can). THE BREAD I LEFT FOR HER! It's because mourning doves are essentially seed eaters. Oh. She sat there throughout all kinds of weather conditions. My friends in Paris.

Tuesday, April 30, 2013. It is time. This year into the escape garden will go some climbing roses, some lavender, and a wisteria vine. I found a small lilac that will grow in a container as well. Fuck it, I am going to take this to 11. The greatest part of my day is checking in on the two mourning doves, Habigail and her boyfriend Nanook sitting on a couple of eggs in the old ceramic windowbox my thyme usually dies in. See her or him up there sitting on her or his nest? Habigail and Nanook and the huevos.

Tuesday, August 12, 2014. We're going to New Mexico Sweeties. Georgia O'Keefe at Ghost Ranch. Heading into Zuni Nation (photos by Edward S. Curtis). Friends, we are skipping town tomorrow, going road tripping in New Mexico, where the sky is big and the canyons are red, the mesas are flat and the roads are lonely. We're going to find some beautiful new things at the Santa Fe Indian Market. And lots of inspiration on the side and up front. If you need something, we'll be back in the studio on August 26th!
