The Bonnie Bibliognost: June 2007
http://bonniebib.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Library-related musings from a happy, bookloving librarian. Thursday, June 14, 2007. Sad Stories from the Library. One librarian got to work today and discovered the grocery sack she thought contained her lunch (and dinner) actually contained cleaning products. Apparently, her lunch (and dinner) were still sitting at home on the living room floor. She had to get to a meeting right away and could not go home to retrieve her lunch (and dinner). This librarian did not eat breakfast. Posted by Auntie K.

http://starrlett.blogspot.com/2008/12/and-there-was-shopping.html
Library Science, Art, and Sci-Fi Geekdom Extraordinaire! And There Was Shopping. I think today's temperature. Was in the range from 20 - 25 F- or just Pretty Danged Cold, to be more accurate. This afternoon, I had the pleasure of shopping. With Sveta (with whom Alex works). We took a taxi to a big mall a bit outside the main city. It was fantastic- not only is the exchange rate heavily favoring the US dollar at the moment, but there were Christmas sales all over! 4 sweaters (2 black, 1 plum, 1 orange).

Library Science, Art, and Sci-Fi Geekdom Extraordinaire! I'm up early making final preparations for my Ukraine trip. Looking forward to three weeks away from work and school. I've started receiving all kinds of wonderful Christmas cards. Btw, I am sick of the word "busy." as I am guessing are most any of you who read this blog. Hmph. In any case, my thanks to those who are gracious enough to continue sending us cards! I appreciate the time you take to organize and mail them. I wish you all a Merry.

Library Science, Art, and Sci-Fi Geekdom Extraordinaire! The Fine Art of Music Videos. Or rather, the fine art of choosing them. Yeah, go look it up on YouTube. Right now. I'll wait, really. YES We've decided it's "Kill Bill" meets "Firefly" in a wondrous clash of cheesy genres. Sigh A lister. Can you tell why I'm a librarian? Here It Goes Again, OK Go. Reasoning: humor, awesome choreography, unparalleled creativity, and I like the bald guy with glasses (oh plus I like the song). Thriller, Michael Jackson.

Library Science, Art, and Sci-Fi Geekdom Extraordinaire! Alex tells me I shouldn't complain about 66-degree weather; it's 29 in the Ukraine. And he doesn't have warm toasty slippers like I do. http://starrlett.blogspot.com/2008/12/webcomics.html
Library Science, Art, and Sci-Fi Geekdom Extraordinaire! I was thinking about webcomics. This morning, and thought that in the spirit of my music video post, I'd write about webcomics (but without ranking them). If anything, the inevitable comments will probably reveal a couple of webcomics I ought to be reading- Todd, Shaun, Kurt, I'm looking at you, heh. I stress that the following are listed in. There's a really cute, sarcastic duck. With a lizard for a son, who only says " squee. I can't run from that.

Library Science, Art, and Sci-Fi Geekdom Extraordinaire! Of course, when I first woke up, I had the same experience I always do with those dreams- thirty seconds of intense happiness, with a vague wondering of why I was happy. Stories for Dreamers | Nutcracker Fantasy
You have exactly five minutes to finish your homework and get out the door! Mom yells from the bottom of the stairs. My homework What I Like About December has nothing on it. My Christmas Wish List either. I just can’t decide what to write. But, that’s nothing new, I guess. Mom and Dad and everyone say I have a really hard time making up my mind deciding anything! I chew on my pink pencil eraser to help me think. Hmmm What do I like? What DO I like about December? Do I even LIKE December? After Mom turns...
