Oh well, I can just chalk it up to experience, with an audience that wasn’t totally digging it, because that will happen sometimes, no matter what you do. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Bonnie’s Storytelling Blog. With a lovely photo of Micah and Molly. Laquo; Sand Through the Hourglass…. 2nd One-The Giant’s Toe. May 13, 2009 by bonniegayle. And here it is:. Woo I can definitely see room for improvement! Also, the 2 boys were very quiet and polite, but my mom, who was filming, made sounds at one point, and also the mother of the 2 boys did as well, and it threw me off. Also, I could have thought of a few more arm movements to throw in there. I also found a story to do for Monday: The Wo...

Digital Storytelling Journal: Evening of Storytelling!

A record of my journey through Storytelling: Art and Techniques LIS 561 from the ischool at the University of Washington. Saturday, May 16, 2009. Last night 2 classmates and I got together to perform stories for our friends and families. It was lots of fun, and I think it went really well. Here also are Rabbit's Snow Dance and Popcorn, which are neat to hear again because the audience is different, and it's in a different location (and I've practiced a lot more). The Adaptation of Olivia-. Link to the story at the bottom of the page. After much searching and reading, I fell back on my favorite recent children’s book- Olivia. I chose this book because I love the creative energy that Olivia displays, and I think this is a great quality to share with children.I decided that instead of retelling one of the books of Olivia, I would pull from several of the books and focus on Olivia’s character. The making of the storyball-. Olivia at the piano image- Now look at Olivi...

Storytelling to Kindergarten | Spinning the Yarn
https://spinningtheyarn.wordpress.com/2009/05/17/storytelling-to-kindergarten
May 17, 2009 · Filed under Uncategorized. My first live performance of storytelling was to a group of kindergarten children. For me this was intimidating because I teach high school students everyday. I was excited to share my favorite children’s book Olivia. It was Friday afternoon during my planning period that I ventured over to the elementary library. The kids were very excited because I was a new person plus they were almost finished with school for the weekend. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

A record of my journey through Storytelling: Art and Techniques LIS 561 from the ischool at the University of Washington. Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Assignment 4: Story Set. I also chose these stories because of their repetitive bits in threes “What big… you have” and “Little Pig, Little Pig…” are wonderful repetitions and stick in your head. Benjamin Pig echoes this with “I don’t like…” which fits him in this triad of stories. It runs a little over 15 minutes (15 minutes and 11 seconds).

I am a super senior at Texas State University. I have got to do a lot of really cool stuff while I have been here, including studying abroad this past summer in Costa Rica. I learned to surf and kind of learned to understand the Tico boys. I am an Alpha Delta Pi (Alumna), and love my sisters. They have been here since day 3 of college, literally. They are some of the most amazing and kind people I have ever met and thank God for their presence in my life over the last 4 years.

Bonnie Gail Carter's Poetry. I’d like to go to Heaven for the day to see my family. I’d tell grandma how grandpa gave me shots of whiskey for my silence to her. I’d tell grandma how much I miss her homemade bread and jam. I’d tell my sister how much I love her and need her in my life. I’d tell my favorite aunt thank you for teaching me to play baseball. And how much I miss her loving kindness. I’d tell them all how I still hear their voices once in a while. Especially when they are here to guide me.
