Wednesday, July 22, 2009. We have not spent too much time in the pool lately, since it has not been hot out and the rain cools the water off, but the other day the boys braved the cold and jumped in! I was so proud of my Sawyerbean. He got in his ring and was swimming all by himself! He gets that he has to kick his feet to move and he is not afraid at all of going under! We've been busy making Valentine's goodies around here, mostly thanks to ideas from Pinterest. Sunday, February 26, 2012. We named him Jose, and soon pretty much our entire lives revolved around that little dog. We were absolutely enamored with him. I have an entire scrapbook from that time that consists mostly of pictures of Jose, adorned with little paw print stamps and bone-shaped paper punches. Thursday, March 22, 2012. We glued ribbon onto the eggs and hung them on our branches. I also printed out some Easter subway art. To set on the table. It looked cute, but something was still missing, so I found some fabric in the basement and sewed a quick and easy (and very crooked) table runner. Perfect. Our Easter table is complete, and I love that, whenever I am in the kitchen, I can glance over to the dining room for a little Easter cheer. Time to get down the Easter decs, huh? Chick in the Czech.

Wednesday, August 17, 2011. First day of 2nd and 4th grade. Becca did not get the nightmare teacher and that is all that matters. I have come to the conclusion that the whole second grade is weak in teaching anything, so I just want her to be happy during the day. I think the teacher she got will allow a happy year.
