This woman's thoughts in poetry and prose…. Things mama never said. We drove into the chiefs homestead unannounced today while he stood under the mango tree dressed in khaki trousers, t-shirt and flip flops. He quickly dashed into his house and emerged a few minutes later clad in a shirt, pleated dark pants and formal shoes. I smiled knowingly, the clothes are his his ready-to-face-the-world attire, his confidence boosters! Its a random bit of vanity but we all have our quirks. Whats yours? August 3, 2015.
