On Sunday, we were sad to leave our friends and beautiful Bodega Bay, but excited to drive along highway 101 for a bit and see the redwood forest. Not long after we left, we had a car full of sleepers. Gateway to the Redwoods". Well, we made it to the redwoods, but by the time we got there the sun had gone over the hill and it was hard to actually SEE the redwoods. It was pretty spooky there.

Circa 1999 for pear maple crumble with a few substitutions. I used pecans instead of walnuts, a few pinches of fresh ginger(zing! And less maple syrup since the pears were so juicy.
