John had some business to take care of in Austin yesterday, so we decided to make it a fun family trip. Austin is only three hours from here, so we packed up the kids with an overnight bag and snacks, and headed out Monday morning. We got into Austin at about noon. We decided to first see the state Capital. It is a very beautiful building. Kids watching a movie on the way there. Top of the dome.

We have had visitor after visitor come to stay with us, and have loved every moment. All but two members of my family have come to visit since we moved here. In fact, I am still trying to get back to something normal, but my routine just isn't kicking in yet. Thanksgiving was a blast! My mom had asked John and I to pick up my brother,Sean, from the airport to surprise my youngest brother, James. We were excited to see him too, but when we got to my parents' house, my sister answered the door! I was sooooooooo excited!

Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Second trip to Gilmer. Mom had just gotten home from the hospital when I got there. She was having a very sad rough time at first. We just cooked lot's of yummy foods and visited and watched movies. Mom wanted to help with the strawberries. This made her very happy! Then we had Aunt sherry and Uncle Sam and some of there grand ones over for dinner. It was a lot of fun! This was Uncle Sams Birthday, and we didn't even know it! Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Well today I made 10 coffee cakes. Gary and Cathy left a 10 pound bag of buckwheat pancake mix here. I have 2 new neighbors I need to take treats to. I looked for a recipe using pancake mix and found it! PANCAKE MIX COFFEE CAKE. 2 C Pancake Mix. 1/4 C Vegetable Oil.
