Getting to Mongolia isn't cheap. As you can imagine, the Mongol Rally is not a cheap endeavor. In addition to purchasing our car, we also have to pay for visas, flights back from Mongolia, money for nonsense things such as food, drinks and shelter, gas, and a bribe fund for any border patrol that gives us a hard time. The rooms of my roamings. Monday, 2 January 2017. Marie-Laure and I ditched the kids and headed up to DP for NYE on the weekend. Without our meddlesome wombats, we got a lot of work done on the house. We also had nice meals at Tani, and High Plains, and actually made it through to the New Year after not one but two spectacular fireworks displays (nice to see our rates going up in smoke!
