Five Schaffs: January 2010
http://fiveschaffs.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Sydney is Now Nine! How time flies by. Just a year ago we were in Utah planning for Sydney's baptism and trying to sell our home. Now we have been in New York for seven months and she is turning nine. Life was busy during her birthday week. I agreed to make cupcakes for her school class, but we bought this cake to celebrate at home. Sydney was so excited to take a birthday treat into her school class. I made 24 cupcakes and drove her to school the morning of her birthday...

Five Schaffs: October 2010
http://fiveschaffs.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. Hayden does not like to get messy, he never has, and he probably never will. So when Halloween rolls around and the children want to carve pumpkins, he can hardly stand the idea of touching the guts of a pumpkin. This year however, Michael forced him to pull out some of the guts on his own. It was pretty hysterical to witness because he was freaking out about it. Here are the children with their friends finishing up dinner. We had delicious chili and bread sticks. Then w...Once ...

Five Schaffs: April 2010
http://fiveschaffs.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 24, 2010. Say good-bye to the yellow walls girls, today is the day that we paint! The day before we had removed all of the furniture and spackled and sanded the walls. Putting up the tape is always time consuming too. Painting is really the easiest part and the most rewarding. This is the only time that you can tell the kids, "Paint your name on the wall! It was fun to goof around a little bit as we worked. Sydney was determined to help paint. She did an excellent job rolling the walls.

Five Schaffs: Trunk-or-Treat
http://fiveschaffs.blogspot.com/2010/10/trunk-or-treat.html
Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Once the candy exchange was over outside, we headed inside to get warm and play some games. Maura was not sure what to think about eating a donut hanging from a string. She found out that it is much harder than she thought it would be though! The donut just kept swinging around and even though she was not supposed to use her hands, she just could not help herself! Just a little thought. Why not go out on a limb? Isn't that where the fruit is? 1 lb Jimmy Dean Original Sausage.

Five Schaffs: Florida Trip- Harry Potter World
http://fiveschaffs.blogspot.com/2010/11/may-not-know-that-michael-and-i-are-big.html
Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Florida Trip- Harry Potter World. Michael looked pretty good next to this snowman who is wearing Griffindor colors. I guess the scarves are a popular item because they sold out during the Christmas season. This is me in the village window shopping. You can peek into the windows if you dare to! Just a little thought. Why not go out on a limb? Isn't that where the fruit is? 1 lb Jimmy Dean Original Sausage. 1 Jar of Ragu (I like the Italian Sausage one). View my complete profile.

Five Schaffs: Making Applesauce
http://fiveschaffs.blogspot.com/2010/10/making-applesauce.html
Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Western New York is really into apples. They grow a lot of them and we found over 80 u-pick farms in our area that allow the general public to go and pick fresh produce through-out the season. We discovered an apple farm in October and drove up one Saturday afternoon. Within a half hour the children picked about 50 pounds of apples- although it helped that some of these apples were almost 3 pounds each! Just a little thought. Why not go out on a limb? Five Schaffs: November 2009
http://fiveschaffs.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 28, 2009. The Annual Showdown- Red vs. Blue. It started out like any Saturday morning, until the phone rang and a friend in Utah played the BYU fight song over the receiver. Then the mood changed. Although our new neighbors probably did not understand what Michael was up to, he added this "U" to the lights in the front yard before the kickoff. We all wore red and geared up for a great football game. Thursday, November 26, 2009. And the Turkeys Came Marching In. Sydney actually assemble...

Five Schaffs: Cutting Down a Fresh Christmas Tree
http://fiveschaffs.blogspot.com/2010/12/cutting-down-fresh-christmas-tree.html
Saturday, December 4, 2010. Cutting Down a Fresh Christmas Tree. For seventeen years now we have had a live Christmas tree, but we usually get one from The Home Depot or something. Since moving to New York, we found a Christmas tree farm just about 20 minutes from our home where we can go and walk through the tree farm and find the perfect tree. Just a little thought. Why not go out on a limb? Isn't that where the fruit is? 1 lb Jimmy Dean Original Sausage. 1 Jar of Ragu (I like the Italian Sausage one).
