Book Club Mum: Diary of a laissez-faire mum
http://bookclubmum.blogspot.com/2014/06/diary-of-laissez-faire-mum.html
Thursday, 5 June 2014. Diary of a laissez-faire mum. Tour de France fever is reaching boiling point here in our part of Yorkshire, where the famous cycling race will be taking off in a matter of weeks. Even I've got into the spirit, and my latest Families column is all about Le Grand Depart. I say latest, but in true (im)perfect style I have left it a little late posting the May/June. And while I'm in confessional mode (when am I not? I failed to update the previous, March/April. Thursday, June 05, 2014.
Book Club Mum: How it works
http://bookclubmum.blogspot.com/p/how-it-works.html
I am lucky enough to be part of a fantastic book club - That's Not My Book Club. Founder member Dr C invited her NCT and Post Natal groups on board and we have now been meeting for nearly three years, broadening each others’ horizons in terms of reading material and putting the world to rights from the comfort of various sofas of North Leeds. NB I have recently been invited to another book club with some friends in York so the Kindle will be on turbo-charge as I try and keep up with all that reading in t...

I used to like reading Andrews column, Dad Rules, in the Sunday Times Style magazine. I miss it! So its pretty cool to be able to ask him a few questions here. First book you remember reading? I can’t tell you what the plot was. I think it involved a fly, which went by. How do you decide on what book to read? Claire Bottomley Book Club Mum. In fact, the din...
Book Club Mum: September 2013
http://bookclubmum.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, 26 September 2013. BOOK REVIEW: Instructions For A Heatwave (Maggie O'Farrell). It’s a catchy title, and one the marketing people must have been rubbing their hands with glee about, given the soaring temperatures that quickly followed the book’s publication. But I would say the title is exactly what lets this novel down. Claire Bottomley Book Club Mum. Thursday, September 26, 2013. Thursday, 19 September 2013. Writing gobbledygook - the next generation. Book Club Mum: January 2014
http://bookclubmum.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, 30 January 2014. Happy (Chinese) New Year. Hello hello and a very belated happy new year to you. I am a tardy blogger, I do apologise. Id make a new years resolution, but my unreliability in this area is documented on page 20 of the current issue of Families. On which I share 10 Resolutions I Already Know I Will Break. Theres also the column, on page 6, where I confess parenting failure when it comes to the five-year-olds Show and Tell day at school. Claire Bottomley Book Club Mum.
